I am so grateful for Rosh Hashanah days off. It's so nice to start the week on a Wednesday, especially when I'm working Saturday.
I had a very eventful, long weekend. I ran a 5k on Saturday & Sunday. Please someone tell me never to do that again without a prescheduled massage waiting for me. My arse was on fire!!! I am proud that I did it though & I was only 11 seconds slower on the second day. My next 5k is Oct 15.
I probably should've done this earlier, but I bought my first pair of "real" running shoes. (my current shoes have holes on the top & in the sole)
And now that you're all like blah blah blah shut up stinybean. I'll stop. Enjoy your Wednesday!
Oh one more thing, if you don't know. This week is free coffee week at 7-11. You just need to have the free 7-11 app & get it scanned.
I'm currently waiting on DD to wake up so I can go for a run. I am starting couch to 5k today. I haven't run since I was 15 weeks pregnant, so I'm excited to get back on the horse. After that we have Gymnastics and then meeting a friend for lunch.
+ 1 for needing to get back into a workout routine. We've settled pretty well into the house at this point, so I don't have that excuse anymore. Now my only excuse is that by the time DS is asleep around 7:30/8 I'm exhausted, and exercise is the last thing I want to do.
On a more positive note, Wednesday is off to a great start for me! It was one of those mornings where DS woke up in a great mood, ate breakfast without a fight, traffic was ok, and we got to day care/work on time. I even got to see the prettiest sunrise, it made me happy and hopeful for a good day ahead.

stinybean - I've done the two races one weekend thing before and said the same thing! Sounds like your October and mine are very similar. I've got a race every weekend.
I want to go running too, but it's SO cold here. It's right around freezing right now and I don't feel like wrestling the kids into warm clothing. A had a serious meltdown when I wouldn't let her wear a summer dress and forced her to put on a sweater to go to preschool yesterday, so we are in for a long winter!
Taking baby photos this afternoon. They are bringing me Starbucks, so that's a bonus!
We are on week 3 of DS1 crying at preschool drop off. I was especially disappointed today because the morning went great, he was so agreeable and in a great mood, and then he danced and skipped the whole walk into the school. Still cried when I left. Blah.
LO is being SO CUTE lately. He's starting to "talk" which is basically like going on and on in gibberish. He does have some words but these are like totally made up sentences and he points and does hand gestures and everything. It's hard to explain but I love it!
veggiemo I love the gibberish too! I always wonder what she thinks she's saying. She likes to "talk" on the "phone" a lot too. Phone also in quotations because she uses remotes, wallets, pretty much anything in the general shape of a phone.
We celebrated with $1 tacos last night. The first taqueria we went to apparently does Taco Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays so we left and went to a new place we'd never been to before. It's attached to a gas station which was kind of weird but they had super good reviews and we wanted those $1 tacos. They were so yum. I see many more Taco Tuesdays in our future.
I'm slacking on my workouts this week. I didn't go to the gym Monday because I had to leave work early for Gianna's doctor's appointment and I was so tired yesterday. I'm going to have to take it easy tonight at Witches Night Out so that I don't have any excuses tomorrow.
veggiemo DD is starting to try a lot harder now too. I asked her if she could say "snow" yesterday and she goes "ssss!" And DS has a hard time pronouncing s's so he often calls it "no". So between the two of them she was going "sss!" And he was going "no!!" And it was like they were cheerleading and making one word together haha!

BH's new trick? Sent him to daycare in a romper yesterday that buttons up the front. She had to change him into a backup outfit because he kept grabbing the front of his romper and ripping it open, like superman.

Hahah, I guess that makes sense. At first when you said you got shat on I thought you meant by your LO and then you said on your run and I was like WTF shat on her? Duh.
So a couple months ago we bought a small play doh set, with the small sized play doh containers. We emailed them to tell them, not really to complain but just like "heads up we bought a pack like this".
** ETA LOL! I missed the bad part. One was full of mould. Our email probably made no sense to anyone without that info hahaha
They asked us to mail it to them and we did and forgot about it.
Yesterday get a big package from Hasbro in the mail and it's a giant box of 20 regular sized play dohs! Like my kids have never seen this much play doh at once in their life! It was like Christmas going through all the colours haha.
Also, something's clearly wrong with my kid. His day care has this app where they send you notifications through the day for napping, diapers, and eating. So I got his lunch notification.
Milk - ate all Pears - ate most Corn - ate most Chicken nachos - ate some
... how did I create a kid that doesn't scarf down nachos?
jillywilly my kid has been anti-ice cream lately. It is seriously concerning.
Ours was anti-ice cream for a while early on in the summer. I think it was that it was cold? He started eating more towards the end of summer, but never really seemed to love it.

DD and I went to Sing and Dance at a library in a different city this morning. She had a blast. Traditional story time is a bit slow paced for my busy girl. BUT at least half of the moms there were visibly pregnant. And then at least 5 more had tiny squishes. It did nothing to curb my baby fever.
I got shat on during my run this morning....I am currently obsessed with tomato soup and spicy cheeze-it grooves.
No. 1 oh man I'm sorry, that happened to me last year as I was getting to the train station. I had to sit with bird poop on my head for 45 mins. They claim it's good luck, yeah ok. Sorry about the shot, too
No. 2 I was having a really hard time understanding why spicy cheese grooves, until @jemomma commented. I mean doesn't all cheese groove? Lol. Yeah I know I'm not funny.
I made fajitas/burritos for dinner to make up for being too lazy to cook yesterday. H came home early from work because his stomach was bothering him. I texted to ask, if he was feeling up to it, to do the dishes. He did the dishes AND the laundry AND broke down boxes for recycling!! It made the evening much better.
