Yesterday MH texted me and said he knows how stressed out I've been and that MOTN has been a little harder for me this week, and said he would handle the next few nights so I could catch up on sleep. So last night I got a full 6.5 hours straight (probably should have gone to bed earlier to really take advantage of it, but our baseball team is in the playoffs and I wanted to watch the game). He is a saint.
We interviewed 2 nannies yesterday, one was really great, I have one more interview scheduled today, but assuming references are good I think well end up with her. We've got a weekend of painting planned
geners , Yay, MrGeners! I'm glad you got some good rest.
gdaisy09 , Has your H gotten the official offer for the job yet or are you still waiting? Good luck on the nanny search!
Yes! he got the call on monday, they're more than doubling his contracted salary, he has an opportunity for profit sharing, and they offered a relocation package that will make moving less expensive (they're covering movers, there's a stipend to cover some miscelaneous expenses, and they'll help him out with rent until we're ready to move).

That's awesome!! Sorry, I must have missed the earlier update! But congratulations!!!
Last night was rough. DD screamed for the first hour I tried to get her to bed. Finally she let out a huge fart then went to sleep. 45 minutes later she was up. She screamed and wailed like I've never heard her scream and wail before for another hour. She let out of big burp then she was able to fall asleep. The only new food she had was half (less than 2 oz) of an apple/carrot pouch at dinner. She's had apple many times. I'm not sure a small quantity of carrot would cause such painful gas?? I have 6 more apple/carrot pouches... maybe I'll try it again in a few days.

I would do like you said and try it again in a few days. If it happens again, it's likely the carrot. It took us a few times trying peaches to realize that EG can't tolerate them. No other fruit bothers her, but for some reason peaches just don't sit well with her.

Poor baby, I know what you speak of all too well. Is it a new brand? Is there an additive she hasn't had before?
I feel like my family has been in a mood this week. We leave tomorrow for a little beach getaway. I hope everyone snaps out of it and we have a nice time. I'm a little worried about what I'll eat, but trying to go with the flow and bring breakfast. Hoping a change of scenery and fresh air does a family good.
Yay long weekend! I'm showing videos in school today because I personally need the breather.
Also, my marathon is on Sunday. My longest training run was only 12 miles. So if you don't hear from me Monday it'll be because my body hates me for not training to run 26 miles properly.
byjove I thought the mamas on here whose babies have sensitivities, intolerances, allergies... it's no fun for anyone. I don't know about additives bc I've never had to pay attention. I'll definitely monitor pouches more closely.
The food I left in the work fridge from a couple of days ago poofed. Ruh-ro. I now am out of food and it is only 12:30. It might mean I need to head home early- darn...

Ps. Have fun on your trip!!
Can you try carrots separate first? That could help you know if they are the issue or not. It's not unlikely.
That's a good idea. I actually have some in the fridge I can steam and mash. Thanks!
C's tooth is through the gum! Hallelujah! He's been nursing well, happy & smiley all day, and took an almost two hour nap earlier (unheard of). Pleeease let him not get any new ones for a while!
Before we move in November, we're going to repaint and decorate the new place so I've been looking at color schemes online. I've decided that I need this to be my living room.
It would be nice but I at least want the colors. 😛

The gas thing could just be a one off, COCO. I mean one instance of gas doesn't spell an automatic food intolerance. I'd just try again like you said. Carrot seems an unlikely culprit for a kid that has no other problems. Just throwing out another opinion. Probably should ignore me, though. I basically chalk all fussing and crying up to unexplained baby behavior lol. Babies be baby-ing. I have never even peeked at wonder weeks and unless my kids are puking, I kind of just forge ahead with food. Oh well.

It has been a day. This nap transitioning is for the birds. I am usually good in the mornings. By about 2, I'm fading and in serious need of a break. DS didn't nap at all. DD2 slept half the morning so her afternoon nap was shorter than I'd like. Still an hour and a half, but it seemed super short. And DD1 was home from school for absolutely no reason whatsoever. If I hadn't known there was a hurricane close, it was just a little bit breezy of a day. No rain at all. I'm wiped out.
