Your supply probably just came in full force. Give it a few more days to start regulating to your DD's needs. I had the same situation when my milk came in. In the meantime, you can make sure you are offering milk on demand. Feel free to hand express to make yourself comfortable too. I promise it will not feel this way forever.
hurricanerek I ff my other two children so I've been feeding her every 3 hours and leaving her to wake through the night which is generally 4 hours. But I find I have to wake her to feed her almost every time.
I think that schedule sounds good. She will probably start to wake up more soon. Expect some cluster feeding, especially in the evening as she approaches the 10 day growth spurt. It sounds like you're doing everything right so far! If your breasts are still painful, you can apply some ice for comfort. Sometimes I'll wet a diaper and freeze it and then put it in my bra if I'm really uncomfortable.

Do you use disposable or re-usable nursing pads? I had to use disposable until my son was 18 months old, but I've dealt with oversupply/dual let down since the beginning. With disposable, I always made sure I had a new pad in before bed and then would put a cloth diaper insert in there too to help contain the leakage. It does get less crazy as time goes on. It just takes time for your milk to regulate.
I dealt with this too at the beginning with my right breast. I still have this issue when DD goes long stretches overnight. My right breast just pours milk!
I always put a burp cloth in my bra to feed. There are freemie cups you can put on while feeding to collect the extra milk to save if you are interested. I haven't personally tried them but I know others who love them.
I didn't stop having engorgement issues until around 8 weeks. I dealt with major engorgement issues after every growth spurt/cluster feed but it always regulated back out within a couple days.

LO is 6 months old and every once in a while I'll still leak out of one side while feeding her from the other... no real advice, just sympathy. I hate the feeling of a wet shirt!
+1 for putting a washcloth or burp rag in my bra/tank/shirt while nursing. That way I didn't soak an entire breast pad in one go. It does get better as supply regulates, which is a continual process over the first few months
My LO is 7 months and I still usually let down on the other side when I nurse but not as bad as it used to be. People have you good tips so the only thing I will add is if you push your other nipple in, it generally stops you from leaking. I usually can feel the let down and just push a cloth or the pad into my nipple so it's inverted when I feel the tingling and that stops things. Sometimes I use a haaka hand pump to catch the milk from that side for the freezer as well.
