stinybean, your posts are SO much happier this school year!! I'm glad that things are going better. Nothing to really add here either. Snuggling while watching Mickey. Grocery shopping today followed by the pumpkin patch with my best friend. Yay!
Only a few hours of training then holiday weekend. Its been mostly interesting but my attention span for personality types, decision styles, change styles, temperment types, etc. can only last so long.

Thank you for having a holiday weekend. I am looking forward to zero traffic on Monday! I am not looking forward to Open House when parents are invited to come in and hang out in classes with their kids.
Good morning! Watching some Sesame Street and eating second breakfast already over here. We're stopping by my office this morning to show off DS since the owner of the company is in from Germany and wants to meet him. Tonight H's whole family is coming for dinner because his uncle is in from Minnesota. Somewhere in between all that we have to get some groceries and this house whipped in shape. I'm already tired just thinking about it!
Good morning ladies!! It has been a crazy couple of weeks here. Hoping it calms down now and I can do more than lurk. C and I are getting ready to head out on some errands. Home for his nap (I'm thinking a lunch date out with my little man is in order) and while he naps fixing his "Linus blanket" and getting ready for a date night with DH. Our 3 year anniversary was Wednesday and his parents are going to watch C for us. I'm a terrible wife because I still haven't gotten him anything yet. Ideas?!? We do the traditional anniversary gift ideas, so this year is leather. He got me a bouquet of leather roses.

I'm trying to remember back that far...I think I got DH either a pair of shoes or a briefcase

DH and I are planning to take C to the pumpkin patch this afternoon. I have to work tomorrow morning (2.5hours) but I have Monday off so I'm calling it a wash;)
Minnie's Bowtique is parenting right now while I TCF in quiet.
Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all of of my fellow Canadians!
DH is still working away and we are supposed to get out first snowfall tomorrow so it's going to be a long weekend of trying to keep busy with the girls. Dinner with my family on Sunday, and that's about the extent of my weekend plans.
I think this weekend is going to be pretty nice here weather-wise, so I'm going to take the kids downtown tomorrow and get lunch and maybe ice cream after. Looking forward to that. Not sure what to do Sunday yet. H suggested the pumpkin farm but for some reason I'm not that thrilled about it.
This month has been a little tight on money because of some extra expenses and plus DS's preschool tuition. So we've been extra good about taking our lunch to work and eating the food we have in the pantry. H gets paid today and we completed all our scheduled meals so we are treating ourselves and ordering out tonight! What to do? Pizza? Mexican? Mediterranean? My mouth is watering.
FFFC: Fell asleep watching Last Week Tonight, and had sex dreams about John Oliver. Anyways, I'm taking Jules to an open gym playtime and meeting a friend there.

Long weekend for me, but not H, so I am planning to take LO to the nanny and have the day to myself! I can't wait, but I'll probably spend a decent chunk of the day applying for jobs...
jessila I was just talking this morning with the guidance counselor about how much better this year is. I smile this year. I laugh this year. I don't dread going to work.
Happy belated anniversary sabrinaml! What a cool gift! How about a leather journal?
I'm so excited that our thanksgiving plans this year we were able to separate over two weekends, so we are at the farm this weekend and H's hometown next weekend. I'm excited to not have to rush at either place! Happy thanksgiving weekend Canadian friends!
I had a pretty crappy night. It feels like a long story but gist is DS woke up short of breath for the first time in a long time. We have the inhalers at home that he needs when this happens but the last time it got like this he wasn't talking yet, so to hear him say the words it's hard to breathe really shook me. A lot of crying by me and then by him when he realized H was packing the hospital bag. But once everything kicked in he settled back down and slept more soundly again. Poor guy, I hate that he sometimes goes through this when he's got an otherwise pretty mild cold. I feel like I'm over watching and overanalyzing everything today, but he says he's feeling better and he did have a quiet nap this afternoon without struggles.
Sorry for the word vomit. I try so hard to remain calm when he goes through this but I always start to spiral so hard every time. I had bad asthma growing up and remember how scary it feels to struggle to breathe. Luckily, this tends to only affect him when he gets chest colds.
Anyway, I am really looking forward to the weekend. Some of the snow is melting and I think it will all melt next week. Since it's calmed right down today and we need some fresh air we might try to finish our snowman this afternoon before it's all gone again, until next time haha.
WOAH long post. Sorry. Tl;dr thanksgiving yay!!, DS breathing attack scary but seems to be ok, possible snowman adventures this afternoon.

Chivalry isn't dead. I had two college guys hanging out in the Brew Store offer to take all my stuff to the truck for me today since I had A with me and no carrier or stroller. There was no way I could get 48 wine bottles by myself.
I also took A to the doc because I thought he had drainage from his ear and they told me nothing was wrong. So apparently I just have a super fussy still teething kid that's still recovering from a virus with some watery/crusty ear wax in one ear...at least he managed to gain a pound in the last few weeks. Must have been the cheese.
That's scary tiffbot, I hope he's over the cold soon. I've got a friend whose son deals with this whenever the weather changes. He has an at home nebulizer for daily treatments.
