I have been doing weight watchers and it's working pretty well for me. I've lost about 8 pounds in the last few weeks. I'm mostly trying to just be more vigilant about what I'm eating. Not being too hard core about it because then I won't stick to it.
I've gained too. I've always been of the mentality to eat what I want (especially when nursing) and exercise it off, but my physical setbacks have limited me from exercising for the past few months and being discouraged leads me to make poorer eating choices. I need to reign in the sugar for sure, and look for low impact ways to exercise. When I'm moving I feel more motivated to make good choices, and better overall.

Ugh, I just got weighed at the doctor and it was not pretty. I've been doing boot camp 4-5 times a week but my eating is out of control. I'm starting to count calories so I'm more mindful. Plus trying to only drink on the weekends (nooooo).
So my diet plan is that on days I eat ice cream, I don't consume alcohol (I'm only half joking...)
I need to start something too! I've always relied on weight watchers mostly bc the point system is ingrained in me and easy to track for the most part. Maybe next week...
I've been trying to do this too! A dessert or a beer, I need to pick one. Sometimes I pick both, though.
I am struggling. I basically ate whatever I wanted while pregnant and nursing, and it's difficult to change those habits. I have been exercising regularly but only for about 30 min 3-4 days a week. I really don't have time for more than that if I want to get any sleep. Plus I'm older and my metabolism ain't what it used to be. I'm really disappointed in the way I look now. I'm ashamed I haven't lost the baby weight as quickly as I did with the other two. I think of I cut down on sweets, it would make a world of difference in my weight and mood.

But but but... wineALLthetime! Plus I thought wine was healthy now?
Seriously! I want wineALLthetime! The rapid pace at which I'm gaining weight is telling me to chill out though!

I went to the Dr for tests, which they weighed me as part of, and after seeing the number on the scale the rest of the test info kind of didn't matter. That number was bad. So I joined Weight Watchers and have lost 5lb in two weeks. I'm happy with slow loss as I think it's more permanent loss. So far it's been pretty enjoyable but I have a ways to go.
I haven't been tracking this week. I had McDonald's breakfast this morning and ice cream after dinner. I need to get back on track! I'm just so busy and stressed it's easier to eat crap.

I currently weigh the most I've ever weighed, including pregnancy weight. Yesterday H's grandma patted my stomach and said, "you make another baby???" So I'm trying to use that as motivation...

Evil Grandma! ; )
I'm also at my heaviest so I,m with you. I had DD cuddle my stomach and say "You look like you have a baby in your tummy". She didn't say that half a stone ago (gone, yay!) when I was just beginning Weight Watchers so not sure why now, when I've lost weight, but it was a bit depressing.

Ugh, that is a bit depressing! I'm trying to keep it in mind as I reach for junk/alcohol and keeping myself on track.

That's so rude, Grandma!
My grandma has been saying whatever pops into her head for the past few years, too. My favorite was: "You named your baby Max? That's a dog's name!"
I'm still 11 lbs away from pre pregnancy weight and feel terrible about myself. I'm depressed I just can't shake these extra lbs.
So I've been casually doing Plexus (natural plant based supplements), but I've decided to start selling it. I'm really going to hit their weight loss supplements hard to see if that helps. If I lose weight, then people will buy! That's my motivation right now.
I have been doing not great with my diet lately because I'm stressed and like to eat my feelings. But I have worn prepregnancy pants to work the last couple days so that has been exciting!!
DH & I are going to sign up for a 10k in January so I've started running every other day. My plan for now is to do 20 minutes, 20 minutes, 40 minutes and then restart the cycle. I want to build up some speed first and then start going a little longer. I was surprised that I managed to do 5k in 40 minutes on Sunday so I'm feeling pretty good.
We got the newest Thug Kitchen cookbook so I've been picking out lots of new vegan recipes. We usually add cheese to the recipes but in general I think they're pretty healthy meals. That said... I definitely ate a bag of peanut M&Ms while DD1 was at school and couldn't ask me "whatcha eating?" Dropping my grocery store treat of M&Ms is not going to be easy!

buttercup, I haven't tried that but I love Skinnytaste recipes!
I've been doing pretty well. Counting calories and going to boot camp 4-5 times a week. Hoping my pants will start feeling a little less snug in a couple weeks if I keep it up.
