What (adorable) things is your kid doing?

Inspired by the what they aren't doing. Let's share something cute and sweet our LOs recently started to do. Even if it's a one time thing.

O grabbed one of his favorite books, scooted over, handed it to me, and put his arms up for me to grab him. He mostly sat still while I read it and turned back to his favorite pages.
It was so sweet and unexpected.

BH is a hugger. He'll run up to you and hug you. And while he is wrapped around you, he pats what he's hugging, so your back, the back of your legs, etc.

He also started racing, which is my favorite thing ever. He crouches down when you say "ready, set" and then starts running when you say "go."

And whenever he sees anyone doing their hair, he points to his head to get brushed, hairsprayed, blow dried... He'll even brush and pretend to spray his hair by himself.

I've also got a hugger. I love that I can now say "give mommy a hug," and he comes racing towards me for the biggest, most wonderful hug. Also, I love that I get the most consistent hugs - if anybody else asks for them, it's hit or miss if they get it, mommy always gets a hug

He's also recently re-discovered blowing raspberries. So if you stick your tongue out and start doing it, he'll start going nuts. He recently blew raspberries down at least three grocery store aisles, resulting in quite the drool stream.

Following directions, like to throw away trash, get a book, etc. So proud of himself!

B does kissy lips and then walks over to give kisses. She also does this any time we are saying goodbye to anyone.

You know that fist pump kind of move when a semi goes by and you want it to honk its horn at you?

DS recently went through a phase of standing at the window and doing this when people left our house because he thought it was hilarious when he can get them to honk. Well DD has observed this, and assumes it is just a regular polite welcome or farewell gesture because of this, so whenever you say hi/bye/good night or she's simply leaving a room, she'll blow a kiss, wave, then pump her arm. Its just so sweet how much she thinks it's the right thing to do.

ETA she's also become obsessed with my dad. She recently learned how to say "papa" and doesn't just say it normal, she always walks around growling it in a funny voice until she finds him when we are visiting.

budders DD also likes to walk around with her hands behind her back! It looks so sweet!

G loves waving, saying "BAIII", and blowing kisses.

She gives us perfect kisses straight on the lips and does the same to her dolls. She used to give us slobbery open mouth kisses so I love that she knows to pucker her lips now.

She does "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" and when we get to nose she sticks her finger in her nostril. (gross, but also hilarious)

She "tickles" us and cracks up over it as much as if we were tickling her.

She has the best dance moves and tries to get other kids to dance with her or play ring around the rosie.

Obviously everything this little girl does makes me swoon. Love her.

belle0720, we're currently at the slobbery open mouth kiss. But it's such a sweet try that it melts my heart.

Also, when I get him up in the morning he spins in circles on his butt in the crib because he's so excited to see me. Then he nuzzles in close to me when I pick him up.

LO is really into turning stuff on and off lately like light switches and the tv. Mostly cute, sometimes annoying.

He gives open mouth, you can feel his teeth, kisses.

budders A just started doing the hands behind the back thing, it is cute but he looks sneaky.

I love it when he lays his head on my shoulder and hug really tight

He wants to check everyone temperature with the ear thermometer now, and he has to do both ears.

He's recently started nodding. He doesn't know what it means but it's freaking adorable when he gets it right.

My favorite is him telling himself that he did a good job every time he does something, whether you ask or not. He nods and pats his chest or claps with a big smile.

Jules kills me with her saying "Hi" and "bye" to everyone and everything.

Fake sneezing.

And I love when she practices her somersaults! She'll literally roll onton/into everything.

Z likes to dance when his toys make music or if I sing a little song. He really just rocks back and forth with a big smile.

Calling anything that looks like an animal "dog."
Arguing with my grandma. He actually likes to say "yeah." So just for fun she'll start saying "no" and they'll argue back and forth while he laughs.
He also laughs when other people laugh even if he has no idea why

Yes! It's either a doggy or a bird. Depending on ground or air.

He is obsessed with brooms and will pick up any broom he sees. He will pick up the dustpan and try to get the broom into it.

He loves going to daycare in the morning. This morning, he led DH by the hand all the way to the door, picked up his backpack and and stood there waiting for 5 minutes until it was time to leave.

Dancing to everything, even songs in the grocery store.

She has this silly little walk right now that's hard to explain, but she will stomp and squat. She's also started doing tip toes.

Spinning in circles.

She loves being scared and chased. We run around our downstairs in circles all the time.

She's starting to point out all kinds of things, like certain animals, and it's made reading the same books over and over better for sure!

Guys, I think I got my first "I love you" last night. We were giving him his bath, and I said "I love you," and he said "love you." I pretty much melted right into the bath.

DD says "Hmmmm...." and taps her lip like she's thinking, then says "it go?" and holds out her hands in question when she's looking for something (as in, where'd it go?). It's so expressive and adorable.

She's also been snuggling any of her stuffed animals or dolls and whispering really low "Baaaaby" as though she's trying to soothe them. I LOVE seeing her be so sweet.

Charlotte says "luh you!" If you tell her "I love you!". Melt my freaking heart.

She will also grab your hand and lead you to whatever it is that she wants. Yesterday she led me over to a Nothing Bundt Cake that was sitting on the counter and saying "Bite! Bite! Bite!"

She also like to knock on the fridge for saying "Knock knock!" to let us know she wants something in there, lol!

I swear this is my favorite age so far- she's getting so fun and I love her little personality!

S loves to give kisses and always says "Mwah" while she does it.

She loves DS and any time he plays with her, she giggles up a storm.

DH has the "Italian" nose that runs in his family. S loves to "honk" his nose when he is holding her. He's usually laughing saying "I'm glad you got your Mommy's nose."

She blows kisses and waves bye to everyone.

I love asking him to go get his shoes. He spins around in circles and scans the floor. As soon as he sees them he goes running over and grabs just ONE shoe. Then he comes and sits down and puts his leg up in the air. Then repeats. It's the cutest thing to me.

He is also obsessed with the vacuum. I turn it on for him while he holds the nozzle and walks around and vacuums, moving it so adorably back and forth over the floor like he's just doing his job.

He knows the sound of the garage opening and if he hears it he runs to the door saying dada! Dada!

He has discovered putting things on his head and mine - basket, plastic container etc and thinks its hysterical and his gap tooth belly laugh about it is the best

He loves to "cook" in the sandbox. He will fill up a bowl, stir it with his spoon and bring it to me with the biggest smile

He is also crazy proud of his fork skills

She says "innie poo" when DH sings the Winnie the Pooh song to her.
She said "bless you" once after I sneezed (pretty clearly, but only did it once)
She loves to help! She gets so proud when I hold her up to turn lights on and off, and she sweeps with the little hand broom while I do with the big one.

Right now both kids are ASLEEP in the car while I read up on the news in the front seat and contemplate what ice cream I'm going to eat after they wake up.

That's the most adorable thing they did today.

We have a stuffed dog that he is obsessed with. We will ask him "where's doggy?" and he will open his mouth and start panting and looking for doggy, them will squeal and grab him and bring him to us.

He has a drawer with some snacks in it (some puffs we have still, teddy grahams, etc) So he will pull out whatever he is wanting and hand it to us and say "eat". Much better than the days when he would throw it at me.

Jasmine gives hugs to everyone. Everywhere. Go to the park or the library and every child and adult that will accept it, gets a hug. Its so stinkin cute and sweet, but I'm also trying to help her learn to ask first because some people really don't want hugs all the time!

She also hugs all dolls and stuffed toys really tight and rocks back and forth saying "awwww" If she sees a picture of a puppy or kitten she either hugs the picture or the air in front of her lol.

Oh yea also she just started putting her purse over her shoulder, walking up to me and daddy to give a smooch then waves buh bye as she walks away. OMG.

And if she hears any human made noise through the open window when we're inside she goes over and starts shouting HHIIIIII!!!!
