I stopped by my OB's office for a Doppler check. I have been anxious about losing weight and no bump, but she found the HB right away. 😬
OH- and the baby received her first gift today. The baby lotion from beauty counter. That is the first thing she has received at all bc we haven't bought anything yet. It somehow made the baby more real to look at lotion I will actually use on her when she is HERE.
I received a job offer today, and I told them I'd let them know on Friday. It's part-time which has some obvious pluses and minuses. I'm meeting with a firm tomorrow that is 4 blocks from my house. Full-time position.
It's nice to know that by the end of the week, I'll have a plan. Also- both jobs know I am pregnant so I don't have to worry about what happened at the job I have now happening again.
So my friend invited me over for dinner, and I told her I'd be there in an hour. I arrived about an hour later and she's gone, so I've been awkwardly hanging out with her dad for over an hour. Apparently she went to the store but wtf you knew I was coming over...

Does anyone have tips for dealing with people trying to baby you/be your mom, particularly at work? Since a co-worker found out I'm pregnant she has suddenly become the most concerned person ever about how tired I look, what I'm eating, how long the day has been, etc. And she just needs to cut it out. But I don't know how to tell her to stop politely without making it a thing. Maybe it does need to be made a thing, though.
I know, rationally, that I look fine and am acting like my usual self especially now. But it's also not her concern/any of her business if I am tired or eating like crap.

What I would do is probably just avoid her as much as possible. Or just give the most meh answers ever. "Omg you look so tired!" "Yeah.... I do." -new topic-
glb30 I'm jealous of all of your potential job offers! I've had a hard time finding an attorney position that I want. So I'm basically stuck in a job that is just ok. I hope you find one you really like and want!
moutonrouge no tips, but I feel for you. The 711 lady won't let me buy anything with caffeine in it. Um...
callmeKD I live in an area where there are a lot of jobs in general. I'm also kind of in that sweet spot experience wise. I'm also being more flexible on salary than I have been previously.
I hope you can find one you like too! What kind of law do you do?

Work went how I expected too. I got way more upset than I should have but not much I can do about it now.
I think I need to find a therapist. My ADD is getting out of control and my life is turning into a mess. It's time. And definitely considering not bf'ing this kid for a year so I can go back on medication. I just do not feel like myself.

Maybe something like,"I appreciate your concern but my doctor is happy with how I'm doing."
My first pregnancy people commented on my coffee drinking and I wish I would have said something.

Thanks all for the good ideas! The tough part is her daughters are my age, so it's an easy dynamic for us to fall into even though it annoys me. I'll try being gently direct once and then change the subject if it goes on. We don't usually see each other much in the office - it's just we've been on business trips together the last few weeks and that's a lot of together time both before and during.
We got so much snow here last week and it's still here. I am not prepared for winter to start this early in October! On the plus side, after a week of screaming every time I tried to put boots on him DS finally accepted them today with only a half-hearted protest... progress?
kaits8 I love the first half of that. Sorry that things are stressful financially right now, that really sucks. Hopefully he gets a little extra OT and you get your days away!
