How many times nursing? Solids? NOD at home (varies), only taking 6 oz of milk when I'm at work for 9.5 hours. (I assume this is okay at this age, especially since she still nurses overnight?) Working on adding in a regular afternoon snack in addition to 3 meals. Figure will add in the second snack after her birthday.
How is Bfing going? Very well. She nursed a ton this weekend, I think due to a new top tooth pushing through.
Questions/rants/raves I'm not malnourishing my kid by not pushing her to take more milk when I'm at work, right? Someone tell me I'm right...
GTKY: weigh in on all things pumpkin. Yes to pumpkin in pies, as jack-o-lanterns, and that's about it. No to pumpkin cakey things. No to PSLs.
How old is baby? about 11.5 months How many times nursing? Solids? On demand (usually 5x a day plus 2 bottles while I am at work). Three meals of solids, plus an afternoon snack or he gets grumpy. How is Bfing going? Good! Questions/rants/raves A few more weeks and I can kiss the pump goodbye forever (probably)!
GTKY: weigh in on all things pumpkin I like pumpkin things (pie, bread, etc), but try not to overdo it or I get sick of it real quick. I don't do fancy pumpkin drinks.
bluefairy5, I think that is fine. Our babies are at the age now that their primary source of nourishment starts to be solids. As long as your LO is still having plenty of wet diapers and is eating solids well, don't worry. My little guy has about 6oz during the 8 hours that I am gone too. He also has water sometimes with his lunch or snack. I am sure he is looking forward to getting plenty of cow's milk in a few weeks (he has already had a few sips and LOVED it)

shadylady, I feel reassured that your LO is doing the same 6oz while you're at work. Thanks! For your DS1, did you BF/pump and continue NOD after you stopped pumping? How did that go, as far as NOD supply?
bluefairy5, with DS1, I BF and pumped at work until he was a year. Then I weaned off the pump by only pumping once per day (down from twice) for a week or two, then stopping. I continued nursing on demand after that successfully. Supply was fine as far as I could tell. . . obviously reduced but that is only natural as baby gets older, eats more solids, and nursing/pumping sessions decrease. I nursed DS1 until he was over 3 (only at bedtime for the last year or so)!

How old is baby? 7 months How many times nursing? Solids? NOD, probably 6-7 times a day and 2-4 times overnight. Solids 2-3 times a day. How is Bfing going? It's going fine. She has either gotten super efficient or turned into a complete snacker. Nursing sessions last 5-6 minutes each. It's great during the day, but I wanted to slowly cut down on time during overnight sessions to hopefully cut 1-2 out and it's hard when they're already so short. Questions/rants/raves: I'm ready for more consistency at night! There is no pattern to her wake ups and it makes it hard to try to cut a session out. I'm ok with her nursing MOTN, but would love to cut it down to 1 or 2, instead of random wakings every night.
GTKY: weigh in on all things pumpkin. I love pumpkin cheesecake, but that's really the only thing pumpkin I like besides roasted pumpkin seeds.

shadylady, Good to know, thanks! I know your experience will not necessarily = mine, but I've been gathering anecdotes so I can prepare myself for different ways it might go to drop the pump and still NOD.
halfahippy, You're right: I forgot that I do like pumpkin cheesecake. Thank you for the reminder
Over 11.5 months. I will only have one more check in here!
Nursing 5 times a day,but more when she's cutting a tooth. Solids 3x per day with a morning and afternoon snack most days.
All is still well!
I'll rave that we have no more biting! She only bites when she's cutting a tooth then we go back to normal. It makes me a little nervous for molars but we'll figure it out.
GTKY: I'll go against the grain so far and so I love pretty much all things pumpkin. I'd much prefer it in a real pumpkin pie but I'm happy to embrace the seasonal items and try new pumpkin flavored things.
How many times nursing? Solids? NOD. A lot. Probably still 10-12 times. 3 overnight, trying to get that down to 2 (or 1 eventually). Solids 1x day
How is Bfing going? Great. I ditched my lilypadz 2 weeks ago and my problems with pain and abrasions on the left have gone away! I still leak sometimes though, but I'd rather be a little wet than so uncomfortable.
Questions/rants/raves: For people who are doing/did BLW when do you want the intro another meal? LO doesn't eat very much but she is definitely eating some. If we are out with her we give her stuff while we are eating but otherwise I just do lunch. Is there something I should be watching for in terms of adding another meal?
GTKY: weigh in on all things pumpkin. I like pumpkin and pumpkin spice. Although this year I am more into the chili mocha and not the PSL.

C is 11mo The days that I work he nurses 4x and takes three 4oz bottles at DC. Three solid meals and a snack or two. When we're home together, he NOD, so I don't pay attention to nursing frequency.
I said by Oct, I would start moving down to pumping 1/day. We're halfway through the month and I've made no attempts to do so. I just feel like I get so hard and engorged that there's no way I could move to only one session. I don't know how I'm gonna do this smoothly. I'm prone to clogs and already had a bout of mastitis earlier in the year. I hate weaning.
jewel441 We added a second meal maybe a month after we intro'd solids. Our pedi suggested 3 meals by 9 months, which I think we got to about 7.5-8 (after starting solids at 5.5 when she kept grabbing at our food 😂)

jewel441 we pretty much went straight to 3 meals a day, it maybe took us 2 weeks to get there. Once A realized she loved to eat, she starts yelling if someone eats and she doesn't get any. So toddler meal time is now mealtime for all the kids, even if I'm not eating. Sorry, I know that's not helpful for you since you don't have older kids, but she's done great on 3 meals a day for about a month now.
How old is baby? 7.5 months How many times nursing? Solids? NOD so probably 10-12. Solids 2x/day How is Bfing going? BF is going great. DS would nurse all the time and eat all the things if he Could. We will probably move tip three times a day because the kid is a bottomless pit. Questions/rants/raves
GTKY: weigh in on all things pumpkin. I hate all things pumpkin

I definitely get that. If I am eating she needs to eat as well, but it's so much easier to eat while she is napping... so we have just been having lunch or a snack together depending on her nap schedule. It just does make quite a mess to clean up!
I haven't checked in here in a while, I'm normally on the BF'ing babies w/ allergies board. But I'm jumping in
How old is baby? 11.5 mos (1 on 10/23!)
How many times nursing? Solids? On the weekends I nurse on demand, which pretty much is 1-2 "good" nursing sessions during the time I'd normally be at work. The other times she'll latch on for a drink and then be on her way to follow big sis. She nurses before bed 2x's overnight and then around 5am. At daycare she's just dropped her 3rd bottle, which means she'll be only taking 6-7 oz of BM while she's there (which is all I get from my pumps during the day, so she was getting formula for her 3rd bottle). As for solids, she takes 3-4 jars of food per day, plus soy yogurt and any table food we have for lunch/dinner. She eats a lot. How is Bfing going? Well, we're finding our new normal and will be transitioning to soy milk during the day as I stop pumping (I dropped to 2x's a day, next week will be 1x). I plan to nurse when we're together.
Questions/rants/raves: mom's who've weaned from the pump but kept the nursing relationship. Did you find that baby wanted to nurse during the day on weekends or just at night/early morning? I'm just wondering, if we nurse 1-2 times on Saturday/Sunday, will I feel the need to pump on Mondays?
GTKY: weigh in on all things pumpkin. Seeds, pumpkin muffins from Dunkin, pumpkin cheesecake -- all yes. Everything else, meh.
@ali7p, Hi! *waves* Glad she's tolerating the soy yogurt after all the allergy/intolerance woes. Our LOs sound like they're on the same nursing/bottle behaviors right now, which is reassuring. GL dropping the pump! I just yesterday started shortening my second session so I can maybe get to 1 pump by her birthday. Also +1 to your question about needing to keep another pump on Monday for comfort.
How old is baby? 10 months How many times nursing? Solids? NOD together. At daycare 12-13 oz a day plus 2-3 pouches, maybe a snack for breakfast and eats finger foods with us at dinner.Nurses on average 5 times per night. Recently wanting to nurse before we leave for day care in the morning and as soon as we get home. How is Bfing going? Moslty well. Biggest issues are my supply, her distraction, and all of her food issues. Questions/rants/raves: Given everything we've been worried about, I wasn't sure if we would make it to a year. We are now less than 2 months til that goal and it feels like even if things get bumpy we'll be able to eek it out.
GTKY: weigh in on all things pumpkin. I am generally a fan of pumpkin. Looking forward to making some pumpkin bread soon!
