Hola! I'm trying to decide what time I want need to leave work. I need to gather costume supplies. Hopefully we can get everything together in time for our first party tomorrow night, otherwise we will repeat red ridinghood and the big bad worlf from a few years ago.
Good morning! I have a half day. Sort of. Students have a half day. I have to finish up my quarter grades, but I get to do that from home if I want to. I think I'll be working on it from my bed this afternoon, after I stop for Jimmy Johns on the way home.
This morning my key fob battery died and I couldn't start my car. WTF? That thing needs a low battery indicator or something.
H was able to find another way to start it after spending some QT with the owner's manual. But it took so long, I didn't get to stop for my weekly starbucks on the way to work.

JoBub It doesn't have a built in key for overriding the push start? They should make the the key fobs rechargeable and add a charging port to the center console or something.

It does have a built in key, so you can unlock it. But there's no key hole to start it. Apparently there's a chip sensor in it so you just hold it up to the ignition button and then you can start the car, but I had no idea about that.
I suspected the battery was dying on Wednesday because I had to push the unlock button twice before it opened. But I haven't had a chance to get a battery since then, and that was the only warning I got.

JoBub You've only had that car for about a year right? That seems really early for the battery to die, hopefully the warranty will cover everything or the dealership will eat the cost.
JoBub that's crazy I never thought about that with automatic starts. becole I've got nothing interesting to distract you, sorry . I'm hoping this day goes quickly, I can't wait for the weekend.

It's been almost exactly a year, but I bought it used so it's about 2 years old. It's just a little watch battery. I'll just replace it. I do need to get another key though. I only have one, which is dangerous.

Ahh... I thought you bought new. Hopefully an extra key isn't too expensive.
I'm always ready for the weekend but the weekends are just not restful at all. I feel like we just run around and H has yard work and parenting is tiring right now. We almost got all the fall planting/ trimming/seeding done. That was a big goal of mine before baby. Now we will just be left with leaves.
So third doctor that i talked to today really insisted I schedule an induction next week. So the opening was for Wednesday and thats when I'm scheduled. So if baby could come this weekend, that would be great!
I'm also really feeling a lot of guilt about scheduling it regardless of the doctors assurances that I am a great candidate and that this is the right thing to do.

I'm confident that you and your doctors are making the best choice for you and your baby. I was really pulling for you to go one day overdue since that's the best birthday, but you know, healthy baby and all is probably better.

becole there's no need to feel any guilt. You are following your doctor's (who you trust) medical advice and doing what you think is best and safest for you and the baby. I think some people just have bodies that suck at going into labor (me included). Hopefully you go on your own this weekend, but if not, you're going to have a baby next week!
Thanks ladies. I just want safest for baby. I feel like this is weighing safest for me. It's a lot to consider. They act like it's absolutely safe for both of us and wanted me to schedule for like Sunday. I pushed as far into the week as I could.

I think pushing as far as you're comfortable with is best. You've already done this once and you're familiar with different scenarios. FX baby comes on it's own soon though.
