If you can't add a session in at work, I would pump while driving if your commute is long enough.
I had a similar problem, but my son ate 8 oz while I was at work and I could never pump enough. I would power pump at night a few times a week and that would help close the gap. Sometimes it would boost my supply at work.
Power pumping is 20 min pumping, 10 min rest, 10 min pumping, 10 min rest, 10 min pumping (totals an hour).
ETA I am also a teacher- it's tough to pump at work. I totally get it. I would also pump in the mornings on weekends if I ran short during the week. How old is your LO and how many oz are they taking?
since LO is 6 months now, maybe consider sending solids to DC to make up for some of your shortfall? things should be getting easier moving forward since LO's intake should begin to slowly decrease over months 6-12 as she gets more established on solids.
also +1 to nursing LO at wakeup and again at DC dropoff if possible. and depending on LO's bedtime routine, maybe wake her for a dream feed when you go to bed. pumping is a huge pain in the ass, so my philosophy was always to tank LO up at the breast as much as possible rather than add any pumping sessions to my day.
It sounds like you have a good plan. I was working a lot when my LO was 6 months and some weeks I didn't even break even with the pumping. I ended up doing power pumping on the weekends to get ready for the week. We made it through the year but my supply was a constant struggle. Kuddos to you for giving it your all. You aren't alone!
Kiddo is 6mo on Friday. She eats 15oz at daycare! Today I pumped 13, so it isn't a case of overfeeding. My house to daycare is twenty min, daycare to school is ten more. Another pumping mom at school has offered her stash, so we are going to accept a little to get the stress pushed back, and I'm going to pump weekends and maybe mornings. Definitely should eat more oats, will look into the lecithin too. Thank you for the ideas, hopefully can hold off pump and drive a bit longer.
I think this is totally normal, consumption wise. At 6-7 months my LO wasn't really doing much with solids and wanted 17 oz per day for a while. At 10 months she now takes closer to 12-14 plus 3 pouches of food. And she is a little thing. I don't know where it goes
Flaxmeal and oats help a lot- brewers yeast too. Make lactation cookies. Help yourself to dessert and fried food on the weekend- adding extra calories sometimes helps me too. I don't know how sensitive your LO is, but I tried the mother's milk plus tincture and it did help my supply (tasted god awful). But I had to stop because it gave her (and me) too much gas.
I combo-fed and sent formula on 1:1 basis. DS didn't really drop his milk amount until he was getting Solids 3 times a day. He was also eating 15oz of milk at daycare.

My 5 month-old eats 16oz at daycare, which I'm barely matching. I'm only 1 day ahead of him (not a week like you!). I posted for some advice about this last week and got some good ideas.
First, I always pump in the morning and at bedtime, 7 days per week. Even if my yield is low after he nurses this seems to be helping my supply. Second, I added power pumping sessions 2x per week.
It's a royal pain in the ass and I hate it. I'm seriously thinking of supplementing soon, but I'm just stubborn and masochistic enough to keep doing it for now. Best of luck to you!
