It's hot and humid here which is just weird for fall. I'm home with my sick little guy. He spiked a fever again yesterday so back to the doctor today. He still has an ear infection so we started another round of antibiotics this afternoon. Poor thing. I was going to try to work from home today, but our secretary changed my time card and put me down for sick time when I worked from home last week, so I'm taking that as permission to nap and watch TV.
Thanks for the love ladies. I don't mean to be such a downer.
I do have a nonteaching health educator job on Thursday that I'm hoping will go well and pay enough. I'm currently the larger salary in our house so there is a price tag on my sanity, which sucks but I guess that's life.
Hope you are feeling better and everything is fine evenkeeled.
M had his first exposure to WCM today. I sent 1oz mixed with 3oz BM to daycare. They said he drank it like nothing had changed and there were no reactions. We'll continue with an ounce a day for this week and then slowly increase next week. I am finding it hard to believe we are at this point already. I am seriously not ready for this kid to turn one next week.
Baby fever is in full swing today. I'm assuming that since we are down to nursing only morning and night(x2) during the week and maybe 3-4 times on the weekends that my period will come back soon. I am actually hoping so because I am totally ready to start TFAS.
byjove, something like that would work for us but I don't think MH would be able to construct it... The other thing is that while our setup looks similar to yours, on the opposite wall there is a wrought iron hand rail across from the railing. So I think we will need an angled gate so we can fasten it to the wall next to the rail, and some sort of contraption to attach the other side to the skinny iron railing post (maybe the thing obscurereference posted would work for that). That is going to be MH's project for this upcoming weekend as C is starting to get more curious about the stairs and moving a lot faster! We do have the railing guard/netting (similar to in your picture) already in place, thankfully.
Happily sitting at the airport ready to go home! Apparently bleeding like I just gave birth again is in the realm of normal and other than being back in the super sexy hospital pads and underwear I am good to go. Very unhappy with The Biltmore I was at as they were asked ahead of time about freezing capabilities for breastmilk, I was reassured that they could until I was told I couldn't. I wouldn't have gone to his conference if that was the case.
But big thank you to MIA airport as they were supper supportive about the non frozen milk and didn't even open the bag. I am hoping I can keep it cold enough, the ice packs are kind of frozen and have ice around it. So think it will be okay.
