erbear, I also need to buy a gift today, but mine is for a one year old so theoretically should be easier. Still have no idea what to buy.
Just getting ready for our 5K this morning, and it's cold out. As if pushing a stroller wasn't heavy enough, now I have to put snowsuits on my kids too. Haha. I changed my mind and decided I'll just take it slow and have fun instead of trying to speed through it. I'm really only going for the free brunch.

H is sleeping in so A and I are fixing to sit on the couch and enjoy some breakfast, snuggles and Mickey Mouse. After the tantrums yesterday it will be nice, I hope.

DS is napping, house is clean, and chili is simmering on the stove. H's dad, half brothers, and sister are coming over later this afternoon. So far, Saturday is a win.

The volunteers at the race told me to go to the wrong way, so I did an extra 2-3 km and it was so long and terrible with the double stroller. lol. Oh well. New achievement I guess... but about 12 minutes longer than my normal 5K time so I'm grumpy about that.
I took extra chocolate milk and grabbed a cupcake and hot dog for the girls.
We had our first blue sky day in a while so i worked in the garden with H and the kids. We planted garlic for next year and pruned the raspberry bushes.
Going out for a girls night tonight. Drinks and dinner. I'm excited to get out!

I bought A a 25 lb bag of pintos at Sams today. He loves scooping dog food so I'm hoping this will entertain him instead. If he sleeps well tonight I'm going to try to go to Aurora photography class around midnight, we'll see what happens.
heartofglass, B just eats dog food. I wish that I could find a distraction for that.
I can just imagine how awesome the Aurora is there. We get some pretty nice shows once in awhile, but I really miss seeing it up north.
Luckily he hasn't tried to eat it for a while, but he loving scooping it into buckets and on the floor. Does B like raisins? They look like dog food.
When they're on it's amazing, but we haven't had a great night in a while. I'm really hoping since it's not cloudy that tonight will be good. A family friend is a photographer up here and he's going to give us some pointers.

H needs to be punched tonight. He made some comment about the high chair cover being dirty and how I needed to wash it. Because I'm not doing anything and everything else around here ever. So he pulled it off to see how dirty it was and then out it back on. I went over and ripped it back off and told him to put it in the washer. I just went to pull it out after disassembling and cleaning the rest of the high chair, and it's still fucking dry. He never added detergent or started the washer. Wtf. He washes his own clothes so it's not like he doesn't know how to use the washer. He's getting daily to-do lists now.
musicfrk2002, nothing pisses me off more than when H says "somethings dirty." Oh, you noticed? My normal reaction is to tell him where to find the supplies to clean whatever he's saying is dirty.
We have our first truly unscheduled day in forever, and I'm really enjoying a lazy morning hanging out right now. I think I'm about to go start the Keurig for some coffee and then life really will be perfect.
Taking lo to the walk-in as soon as it opens. Not my favourite way to spend a Sunday but hopefully at least they won't just say it's a virus and send us home. My mom is coming today for a few days.and I can't wait! Plus I have a work meeting and I'm going to a Mommy show with a friend.

budders that would've made my day! I hope you continue to have a good day!
I went to a Halloween party last night and I'm soo tired now! Today is hurting. Currently letting Sesame Street parent. On the bright side, Jules is feeling so much better and barely has a rash!
Our pool in town is having a grand reopening party today with facepainting, grilled food and cupcake decorating for kids so we're going to check that out.
This morning I'm working on finishing my citizenship application so I can mail it off tomorrow!
heartofglass my in laws have a bean table (same concept as a sand table but inside) from H's childhood and W is obsessed. He loves playing with measuring cups and spoons and dump trucks. Every time we go to their house he makes a bee line for it.
Is it an indoor or outdoor table? I used to fill a huge Tupperware bin wth beans when I still did therapy and t was always a hit. Should do again.. just the mess it makes!

This is why I can't really decide what to do with them. I'd love to have something more interactive like a sand/water table, but we may just end up with another kiddie pool so they stay contained.
Tonight J and I are going to a special Jack-o-lantern display with my bff and sister's families. I am hoping she'll love it. When we've been taking night time walks lately she's been obsessed with the houses with Halloween lights.

@wwprestige no I didn't. A woke up screaming about 11:30 and would not be consoled or let me put him down. I was up with him for a couple of hours until he finally settled again.
