Mine's pretty good so far. Getting more painting done. I went yesterday and picked the color for our cabinets and nearly had an anxiety attack after finalizing the color. Clearly I was taking it too serious lol.
Busy busy day. Just getting a moment to check in while the girls are asleep. We ended up taking the girls for blood work first thing. Clara was a trooper. Margs has tiny rolling veins just like me and it was rather difficult. Hoping it will be several years before we have to do that again :/ it's just standard stuff like anemias and lead. I hate that our ped won't just do a finger prick. Then we went directly to the fall festival, and then we got lunch, and then we did some shopping (Clara has outgrown almost all her pants and shoes) so now DH is napping while I'm in nap jail in the car. DH let me have extra time in bed this morning after after Margs woke for maybe the 3rd time since she was born, so I thought I'd return the favor

Ugh, everyone got up late this morning so Emma only had a short nap this morning before we had to wake her up for her chiro appt. Then tried to put her down for her second nap, and she got a second wind after her bottle. Grrr, so took her downstairs for 30 minutes and got her to sleep but later than I wanted. I am turned around on getting her to nap well and still not nap too late. So think she is going to be up later tonight. I hate having to wake her up from two naps!
She went to her first "haunted" house today for kids. Not sure she was too terribly impressed but had fun!
Got to talk to the Chiropractor, since I wasn't there for her first appointment, and he recommended dropping dairy again. Umm, yay, that was hell the first go around. Asked hubby what he thought about that and it was a decisive no. He said he would rather deal with no sleep than me off of dairy for the rest of my weaning and having to scrap most of the frozen milk. So, outside of that, she is going three times a week and we will see what happens.

Tell me more about the chiropractor? Are you going to help sleep or reflux?
He says he can help with both as well as congestion. We shall see. She is going to go every other day or so for a month and we will see what happens. Says she is very tight in the neck, that I knew actually and that ties to everything sinus. My husband has been going for years off and on for old injuries and swears but it. I have gone a few times but not my thing. But I am not dealing with any acute issues.

We were out all day at a fall festival. Everyone was pooped. The baby only napped for 1 hour in the stroller so she was down for bed at 6. Older two were both asleep before 8 which is unheard of in this house! I failed though and forgot to put sunscreen on the back of DS's neck and the top of his ears so he's got his first ever sunburn. He doesn't seem to care. But I do. Forgot to put it on my chest as well so I got a burn, too. Ugh. We had a blast though!
I don't know if we will do another date night (one where we miss C's bedtime) anytime soon. It didn't go very well (he tried to nurse with the nanny then just seemed sad and confused when she redirected, and woke up every time she tried putting him in the crib). MH rocked him to sleep when we got home, but he woke up sobbing soon after and stopped as soon as I held him. Then he nursed for over an hour. I don't think he liked the change in routine very much..

Poor little guy geners. My kids hate routine change, too.
My H looked up ticket prices on Stub Hub for fun last night. You can get two World Series tickets at Wrigley Field behind the plate for the low low price of $25,000. Sounds reasonable!

I just found out that at the farmers market yesterday in our little neighborhood (which is extremely family oriented) a guy with anti Hilary signs and open carrying (wearing it uncovered right in front) made a really big to do and was very aggressive. I am so glad we weren't there. This makes me nervous for the election :/
I've been working with C, trying to get him to say "mama" (and hopefully understand that that's me) for a couple weeks now. Tonight, I walked into the nursery where he was playing with MH. He looked up at me and clear as day, went "mama!". One of my all time favorite moments ever, even if it was just babbling, coincidence, whatever.

geners, aforwbl! The only time dd says it is when she's crying
We went out to lunch and the pumpkin patch today. It was only then 2nd time we've been out as a family to a restaurant and dd did great. It was a fun day.
geners, The first time A said "mama" was one of my favorite parenting moments so far as well. How quickly they learn things at this age really blows my mind!
