LO is 6.5 months old. She started solids a couple weeks ago but is otherwise breastfed. The past couple weeks she pinches and pulls away constantly while feeding. The pinching is getting out of control, it physically hurts me so much but if I try to get her hands out of the way she immediately stops nursing and starts crying.
I BFd my older daughter 18 months and really never had any issues. This pinching has to stop and somehow in the past 2 weeks I've had 3 clogged ducts, all in different spots. I'm about ready to give up. I can't believe how much my nipples hurt from the pinching and pulling at them.
I found a nursing necklace helped my DD stop pinching.
She'/ a bit better with her top hand in that usually my tank strap will distract her enough, I have a necklace she loves to chew on but not play with. It's her bottom hand that she will slip almost into her mouth to pinch my nipple.
I just started running but that's the only difference that I can think of. Anyone know if running could cause the clogged ducts?

Not sure if this could help, but when I had thrush with DS any touch would hurt, so I put scratch mitts on him whenever he nursed. That worked well! I don't know if your LO would tolerate it at that age but it might be worth a shot?
WittyLittle, I do have mitts, I might need to try it. I've been saying "no pinching" and moving her hand away but she's just too little to understand.
lilyelayne, I just bought a new running bra and tested it out tonight. I'm hoping it helps, I think the other one was too loose and my boobs were just bouncing around too much.
