Up and at em. I need to spend quite a while on a school project today. I've also got several phone calls that must be made trying to get answers out of people. I'm also really hoping to hear back from that job in the next few days. I know they want to start someone next week, fx it's me they want to start.
ampaints, the show Friday was awesome! It was our 3rd time (I thought it was 2nd, but H corrected/reminded me) and we had such a good dinner before, I'm still thinking about it!
I posted in the wrong thread, so.. copied from weekend randoms
Up 5 times last night. Poor kid has 8 teeth all trying to come in at one time. Got my work out in this morning though!
I'm hosting a FB lipsense party today, and I'm really hoping people buy, so I can get free ones because I'm #selfish
I got a new lens for my camera, so I'm hoping to get out and get some cute pics of the kids together for Christmas cards. Not sure what the weather is supposed to be like though, so who knows if I'll be able to.
Decided to make a quilt for my daughter, so I spent all weekend buying fabric and cutting out pieces. Hoping to start the sewing today. I'm really hoping I don't screw it up!

mommabakes, I love quilting. It will turn out great, have fun!
My Dad's visit was wonderful, I miss him already. MIL comes on Wednesday. She is staying for a week, which is practically an eternity. Still, she loves playing with the kids, so hopefully I will get some free time.
Oh, and I've been recording (I always want to say "taping" because I am forever stuck in the 90s) Scream Queens but haven't watched it yet. Is it good this season???
I really need to catch up here. I've basically had a baby glued to me for two weeks. I know this is peak time for stranger anxiety, but C doesn't even want to go to my husband. Only I will do. Plus, she's teething and waking up at night. I'm really touched out and so tired at the end of the day that I've just been crashing into bed.
My husband and really opposites politically. I finally called a moratorium on all political talk in our house. I have to deal with it at work every day because I work for a federal agency in DC. I don't want it at home, too. I really can't wait for this election to be done.
Crafty mamas: my son came home with scholastic book order thing, and as I was flipping through it I saw a book for learning to knit adorable winter animals. I want it for myself, but I've never knitted a thing in my life. I can do basic sewing and have done cross stitch and embroidery. Is this a bad idea? Will I fail learning how to knit from a book? Do I need in-person lessons?
joi922 I say get the book. I learned some crochet from my grandmother when I was 6 but really learned from a book 20 years later. If there's a particular stitch you're having an issue with you can always find a YouTube video to help.

I knit some, and taught myself. There's a lot of YouTube videos if the book is confusing. It's not super hard, but it does take patience.
ampaints, much better. We've been communicating a lot better and just focusing on being nicer to each other. It often gets lost after the long days we both have plus 2 kids. Thanks for asking.
