W cut his second tooth this weekend. I can't decide if the runny nose is from that or if he is getting sick. Either way he has been extra clingy and taking naps.
LO was up at 3am like it was play hour. I ignored him for about 15-20 min but then he was blabbing so loud I got him and rocked him. He finally fell asleep by 4am. Then at 430am the thunder was so loud it shook the whole house and I was up again. Im up by 5am for the day. Ugh!
Developing pincer grasp is 1000 times worse than crawling for having to keep an eye out. I feel like I have to vacuum every 5 seconds to stop LO from picking up every stray whatever and eating it!
I'm sorry I'm a broken record. We have a referral to Children's. We also got a script for Zantac. The pediatrician is thinking that acid reflux could be irritating him since it sounds like everything is in his upper airways. His chest xray looked clear, but the radiologist hadn't looked at it yet. I'm starting to feel like I'm just crazy so I'm having trouble making the call, which is ridiculous since I'm nurse and have been working with kids with asthma for the last 3 years. I shouldn't let the pediatrician's office make me feel that way especially when he didn't even see his regular doctor today.
Chase has apparently decided that he hates long-ish car rides. And he has a pretty impressive set of lungs he'll gladly use to make his point. Which is awesome with my friends and family 90+ minutes away and the holidays coming up...

DD had a temp of 104.8 tonight and the pedi office wouldn't fit her in. I took her to the walk-in clinic which is in the same building and I could see that there was nobody in the waiting room. One person arrived five minutes after we got there. I'm thinking about switching to a new pediatrician over this. Anyway, she has strep. Now I'm just hoping DS doesn't catch it from her.

I would certainly be switching after that! That seems absurd! Hope LO feels better soon!

Wouldn't fit her in? That's insane to me. I'm sorry about the strep and I hope she feels better quickly and that your DS avoids it, too.

I know! This is right after she told me 105 is a medical emergency. What if my thermometer is off by 0.2!!!! DD is on antibiotics and already doing much better this morning.

I would switch and let them know exactly why! That is awful. I'm glad she's already feeling better.
DCP let me know this morning that J had his first tantrum there because she took her phone away from him. He melts down just about every night when I take his spoon away after dinner so I can't say that I am surprised. Kid wants what he wants when he wants it gosh darn it!

Good job getting her in despite your ledi, mama! I'm glad she is feeling better from antibiotics. But yeah, bad move, pedi... I would probably switch after that too.

TMI warning!
I went to change K's diaper after her nap this morning and she had some very hard poop in there. As I was changing her she started screaming her head off and bearing down. Poor thing was in so much pain trying to get more of it out. She was pretty grumpy this morning, so now I understand why. I just pulled her legs up and she was able to get it out. I felt so awful. Probably a result from the yogurt she had yesterday.

I have given up trying and just accept that the dust and fur she is eating won't kill her.

Not crazy about eating dust but that's not the end of the world. The other day she found a carpet staple and I had to make a dive for her as she was putting it in her mouth

I forget if DD is your baby or older kid? If it's your older one, it's very rare for babies under the age of 2 to get strep. So hopefully you'll ok with DS!

Found my wedding band when I did laundry the other day. Even though I had seen it fall between the mattress and footboard both DH and I checked my jeans pockets multiple times. Since I found it in the washer, maybe my cat Pixie played with it and left it in my dirty clothes hamper? Idk. Sometimes weird stuff happens.

J was so grumpy/fussy/clingy yesterday and refused a morning nap. She also kept rubbing one of her ears. A LOT. She never had a fever though. I'm thinking either her ear was bothering her or maybe we'll see a tooth soon. I think if it was an ear infection she would have had a fever. She's been her normal happy self today though.

J is a mess. Last night was a sleepless night - only place he would sleep was in my arms. We spent the night in the rocking chair. He was feverish at DC yesterday, and he got to to 102 overnight. Tylenol is keeping him around 100. Also was a bit constipated. DH stayed home from work with him today (teaching on an hour of sleep was fun) and suspected an ear infection in the making so we took him in. Yup. 3rd one since August. Poor kid.
My child has been a beast. I miss my happy little lady. I took her back to the pedi yesterday because Saturday night, she was up literally every 90 minutes until 3am. No more ear infection. Pedi was useless and basically rushed me out with a "give her Tylenol for teething." Thanks.
She is just so unhappy at night. AND I think we are in that 30 week leap thing with the distance. She WIGS out when I leave. I had to leave work to come home yesterday because she was hysterical after I left and H could not get her calmed down b

We had an ear infection once in my older LO when he was a baby that didn't have an associated fever so it is possible.

Sorry for all the sick littes. FX everyone gets to feeling better soon and that you get some answers @pennycandy. I'm sorry that you have to get rid of your rabbits, but if it helps I'm sure it will be better for everyone.

On the good news front, V stood independently for the first time today! I was shocked because we were playing outside on the grass, but she did it again just before bed this evening! Little girl is getting so big
