How is breastfeeding going? Great. No issues with this part.
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? Not back at work until Dec, it I pumped for the first time this morning. After nursing every hour all night I pumped 2 oz! All going in the freezer for when I go back to work.
How are nights? God awful. I'm tired of talking about it actually.
Any teeth/signs of teething? Nah. He's putting his hands in his mouth but I feel like that's developmentally appropriate.
Questions/AW/Rant? I'm just struggling with sleep. It's so bad. Up 6-7 times in 10 hours.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? We actually met in high school freshman year. We started dating junior year and married right after college.
Breastfeeding is good for the most part. He's doing a new thing where he starts crying when he's done. Or at least I think that he's done because he's okay after I pull him away for a minute. It's strange and I'm not sure how to read him. Sometimes he screams when he nurses. I always find myself wondering if the 6oz medium-flow nipple bottles he gets at daycare are contributing to this, but he seems to be doing so well there that I don't want to ask them to mess with their system.
Pumping is meh. We have a system that works but I'm looking forward to not having to do it anymore. I am committed to getting through 6 months at least.
Nights are great. We're one of the lucky ones.
Not sure about teething... maybe contributing to the screaming while nursing? He's definitely chewing and drooling on everything but that's been going on for a while.

How old is LO? 3 months 14 weeks
How is breastfeeding going? Pretty good. No problems at the moment.
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? Loving the colder weather pumping is great in a chilly room. Other than the annoying logistics of it all it is going fine. I am getting any where from 2 to 5 extra oz per day. So my stash is growing.
How are nights? This week we have been up alot varing from every 2 to 4 hours. Not sure why. I am hoping he will go back to the 6 + hour stretches. Any teeth/signs of teething? Nope
Questions/AW/Rant? Nope
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? At a kegger in college. We were the somewhat sober people there since we both showed up late.
How old is LO? He'll be 3 months on 10/28 (13 weeks tomorrow).
How is breastfeeding going? Pretty well. He does have this annoying thing where he bounces on and off the boob over and over at times. At first I thought this might be supply related or slow letdown but now I think it may be more when he's tired or not very hungry because frankly he's only sucking for a few seconds at a time when he does this so not even enough to trigger letdown. It doesn't happen all the time so I'm not worrying too much about it for now.
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? Starting back at work next week with a shortened (3 days) schedule. Have not done much pumping so far, just enough for first day bottles and an occasional practice one given at home. DS is very inconsistent with naps and night sleep so I never have a time when I feel comfortable pumping since I never know when he is going to want to nurse again.
How are nights? The only thing consistent about DS's night sleep is that it's totally inconsistent. He will do a 5-6 hour stretch for a few days and then 1.5 to 2 hour stretches only for days after that. His new thing is waking up 40 min to 1 hour after first falling asleep and then being impossible to put back down for up to 2 hours. Or it takes hours to get him down initially despite previously going down fairly easily at 8:30 or 9:00. It's very similar to when he was a newborn and just exhausting. My DD was a unicorn baby in terms of sleep (STTN early, minimal regressions after that) so this has been really hard for me to deal with.
Any teeth/signs of teething? Tons of drool but nothing else. My DD got her teeth very late, not until around 9-10 months.
Questions/AW/Rant? Just the sleep struggles. And the stress of going back to work next week. I thought it would be easier with the second one knowing that DD really did fine in daycare and we are sending DS to the same place. But it's really not any easier.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? I was a medical student and he was an intern on the team I was assigned to.

How old is LO? 14 weeks (I commented over in the 1-3 months thread before I saw this one)
How is breastfeeding going? good, no issues
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? been at work for almost 3 weeks now. pumping is alright, annoying but going fine and I'm managing to take home more than he eats so my stash is actually growing rather than decreasing.
How are nights? same as jewelsofthenile, He used to do a 6 hour then a 3 hour. Now for the past few weeks he's been only doing 3 hour stretches. It sucks since I'm back to work but I guess it could be worse?
Any teeth/signs of teething? not really, drooly, chews on hands, the normal
Questions/AW/Rant? still missing my dairy and dreaming of the day I can have all the cheese lol
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? mutual friend set up
For ladies who are back at work - how much were you pumping before returning?
I go back Tuesday and I'm terrified I won't pump enough. Right now when I pump (while also breastfeeding) get 1-2 oz per breast. I've only got three opportunities to pump at work and I'll pump before bed.
I should get more than that once he's not eating during the day right?
How old is LO? 3.5 months? No idea on weeks - 5 days older than melody's lol
How is breastfeeding going? Very well - no latch issues, he generally falls asleep at the breast but can be voracious so I know if he's sleeping he's full.
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? Not headed back until Tuesday. Still dealing with pumping accommodation BS. Hopefully they have it sorted by Monday.
How are nights? Enh. He was giving us consistent 5-6 HR chunks with the odd 7-8 HR magicalness. The last week or so has been 1-2hr chunks more consistently no idea why.
Any teeth/signs of teething? I don't think so. He sucks/chews his fingers a lot and drools quite a bit but I think it's more likely because he's discovered his hands than teething relief.
Questions/AW/Rant? Guess I already posted my question. I'm just super worried about not being able to feed him. I have about 75oz on the freezer we can dip into, and I know we can always supplement with formula of necessary, but it's not my first choice ($$$$!) I'm also afraid my coworkers (brand new job) will be irked with my accommodations for breastfeeding as it is resulting in the yard duty schedule being reworked. I'm afraid my principals think I'm a PITA/stick in the mud/brat/diva and it could end up negatively affecting my career.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? We both played on my brother's ball team at a summer festival. I was an 18 year old high school student. DH was a 25 year old, tattoo covered soldier with two kids and a new ex-wife home from your. My brother introduced me as "his off-limits sister" and DH took that as a challenge. The rest is history.

Ray I remember being so stressed out about being able to pump enough milk when I went back to work so I know where you are. You'll be fine! If your supply is good now then you should be able to keep it up. Try to pump at least 3 times at work and once or twice at home (usually mornings right after the first feed is a high yield time for pumping). As you get into a routine talk to us here about how to troubleshoot it based on when and how much baby is eating.
Oh and screw anyone at work who would judge you for taking the time to pump. It's your right to demand those accommodations and I doubt you'll sacrifice an ounce of productivity. Pumping mothers are less disruptive to work flow than people who take breaks to smoke cigarettes.
Ray, I pumped like 3x/week before I went back to work, just to build a small stash. I had about 30 oz. Yes, you'll pump more when you're doing it instead of nursing--average pump output in that case is 2-4 oz. a session (from both breasts). It took me a week or two to get the hang of things. Don't forget to drink lots of water and eat well. We'll be here if you have problems.
