How's it going? Getting through growth spurts okay? How do nights look at your house? Nights are getting better, although it took a long time to get her to fall asleep the past couple evenings. And she pretty much has not napped at all the past few days.
If you're pumping, how's that going? When are you returning to work or are you SAH? I'm SAH. We took a break from giving DD a bottle and she's terrible at it. So I'm pumping once every day to give her a bottle so we can work on it with her.
Questions/concerns/AW?
DD is still eating at least 12 times a day, usually more. She eats at least every 2 hours during the day, often more frequently. I've been NOD watching her for hunger cues. Is 10 weeks too old to still be eating this much? It seems like most of the sleep advice recommends feeding a lot less and pedi had wanted me to try to stretch it out to every 2 hours. I don't mind frequent feedings during the day unless it's somehow hampering her ability to sleep.
Gtky: what was your first CD? I have no idea, I've never really liked music much.
pttomato, are you feeding on both sides? Maybe if she gets more per feeding you can spread the in between time? My DD is younger so she eats 10x a day.
How old is LO? She will be 6 weeks on Friday
How's it going? Getting through growth spurts okay? How do nights look at your house? We had the 6 week growth spurt over the weekend and it was rough (she was 11 days late). She is through it though and it made me appreciate her normal demeanor and frequency of feedings. Sunday night she was up every 2 hours but last night she slept for 7 hours!! It was amazing.
If you're pumping, how's that going? When are you returning to work or are you SAH? I just started pumping a couple of weeks ago because I start my internship for grad school on Monday. I have a couple days worth of milk frozen so far and will be pumped 3x a day at my internship.
Questions/concerns/AW? What positions does everyone feed in most often? I mostly use the football hold. The cradle/cross-cradle I get an awful latch and can't seem to make it better. I've tried laid back nursing and was super uncomfortable.
Side note, I ordered a sweatshirt from Latchedmama.com and it came yesterday. Great quality for the price if anyone is looking for good, reasonably priced nursing tops. I will be ordering more stuff from there.
Gtky: what was your first CD? Either Spice Girls or Alanis Morissette.
Me: 28, all tests normal DH: 34, very low count, motility, morphology DX - MFI 11/14/09 - Married 01/01/14 - TTC #1 01/06/15 - Started working with RE 04/06/15 - Recommendation - straight to IVF w/ICSI 09/04/15 - Started working with new RE Nov/Dec 15 - IVF w/ ICSI #1 - 11R/8F - 1 transferred, 3 frozen
rufus426 I try to always offer both sides, she doesn't always take the second one though.
I typically latch her in cross-cradle, then switch to cradle and lean back, which sounds really complicated now that I've written it out. I was never able to get the hang of football and her latch sucks in side-lying.

rufus426 - Thanks for mentioning the sweatshirt. I'd been looking at their stuff but don't like to order online unless I know people who had good success with their stuff.
I definitely need to get some long sleeved shirts and sweatshirts now that it's getting chilly.
LadyNymeria I also have some latched mama stuff, wearing the lightweight hoodie right now.
How old is LO: 2 months tomorrow
How is it going? Better since I started combo feeding. I'm struggling with some guilt since I was producing enough but I couldn't keep up with 14+ feeds a day. Now he eats about 8/9 and 3-4 of those are bottles of either breastmilk or formula. Last night we finally got back to 4 hour stretches. I gave a bottle before bed and nursed overnight.
Pumping: I'm pumping between the first two bottles of the day and not trying to build a stash. I may try to soon just because I'm not sure how long I want to nurse for. Also with the dairy allergy I'm already dreading the holidays and may stop before that. So if I have a freezer stash I can at least still give him some breastmilk during that time to extend.
Questions etc? Anybody else dealing with a strict no dairy diet? How are you doing with it?
GTKY: I have no idea but I still have a bin full of them in my basement.

pttomato I don't see any reason why LO shouldn't be nursing that frequently. At this age, it is unreasonable to expect our babies to be on a schedule. When they hit 4 months, it may be more developmentally appropriate to space out feedings.
rufus426 we do a bunch of different holds. I have her in cradle most often. I also do side lying in my bed and will use a football hold when dd1 wants to nurse at the same time. I'm finding that she tolerates laid back nursing a lot less at this age so we're moving away from that.
theophania a class 4 tie?! Those are pretty unusual. I hope the revision goes well and relieves a lot of the issues you've been having!

How old is LO? 6 weeks tomorrow
How's it going? Getting through growth spurts okay? How do nights look at your house? She's going through a growth spurt right now and so she's been attached to my boob all evening. Nights have been a little less predictable as a result.
If you're pumping, how's that going? When are you returning to work or are you SAH? I'm going to try to add in a pumping session starting tomorrow. We'll see how that goes and it I'm able to be consistent with it. I think dd1 will be distracted by it and ask for the milk rather than letting me pump it. We'll see...
Questions/concerns/AW? Not BF related but is anyone still having pp bleeding? I can't believe I'm still spotting.

How old is LO? just over 3 months (14 weeks)
How's it going? Getting through growth spurts okay? How do nights look at your house? Pretty good. He still eats every 2 hours and at night he gets up 2-3 times, like every 3 hours.
If you're pumping, how's that going? I have been back to work for 2 weeks now. Pumping is going better than I expected. I always have enough for the next day and sometimes even an extra.
Questions/concerns/AW? One of my boobs keeps getting ridiculously fuller than the other. I used to be able to even it out within a day but this time it's been like a week and I don't know what else to do to fix it lol.
Gtky: what was your first CD? Madonna Immaculate Collection of course!!
hurricanerek, I spotted until like 8 weeks. Then I got an IUD put in an have been spotting for almost a month since then, ugh
NJgirl84, I have been dairy free since the week he was born so over 3 months. It's not easy. I was a dairy fiend before- literally I ate yogurt, milk, cheese, butter at every single meal of every single day. But breastfeeding is really important to me so I'm dealing with it! Have been finding alternative recipes and even lowered my cholesterol so hey that's a nice added bonus lol. But yea....trust me I feel your pain when everyone at a party is eating pizza or lasagna and you are standing there with your dry salad and dry roll. I also see many mom friends praising their coffee and I have given up all caffeine because I don't want it to affect DS, so that's hard as fuck too after long nights.

spicysalmonroll that's terrible about the spotting. It's at least nice to know I'm not alone.
As far as your question goes, breasts are their own individual entities. It's entirely possible that one has a higher storage capacity than the other. There's nothing wrong with that and nothing you need to do. You may see it even out over time but many women experience some lopsidedness.

spicysalmonroll - My left definitely holds and produces more milk than my right. Thankfully it hasn't been too obvious visually so far, but I can definitely feel a difference if it's been a while since DS has nursed.
We managed to squeeze into a cancellation and they did the revision today. It feels so much better to nurse already and he's clicking way less. They said he was severely restricted in both places.
Yay! How has his pain been? Did they give you stretches to help him adjust?
