ATTN: Paging Disney World know-it-alls!

Hey guys! So DH and I are going to Disney World for our 1 year anniversary. I have only been there 1 for our honeymoon. We want to go somewhere nice for our anniversary dinner. Doesn't matter which park! If you have any other advice feel free to share it.

Chef's Table! Very intimate and romantic. I haven't done it, but I think you basically get to pick you menu and the chef makes it in front of you or something? I've heard amazing things. I would look into it soon because it might be limited availability.

DH and I have gone to the yachtsmen steak house twice and love it! We go on the day we do Animal Kingdom so we can go back and take a shower at our resort. It's a 2 credit meal but we have only gone during free dining and always had extra credits for checking in late the first day.

Jiko at animal kingdom lodge is nice. They have wine tastings on Wednesday nights.

Park wise, if you want to do a cheesy romantic meal, we do Cinderellas royal table. Princesses come and will make a big deal it's your anniversary if you play along. We do breakfast there on ours, but I would bet their other meals are tasty too. Le Celliar in Epcit is really tasty too.

The Dolphin hotel has a Shula's that was yummy when we went, but the atmosphere is the 1972 undefeated team, so not exactly romantic. Just really good steak.

For something fun and different, I always recommend Jellu Rolls on the boardwalk if you haven't been. Not romantic at all. It's a dueling piano bar for 21 and over, but if they find out you're there for something special they will celebrate it by making you do a silly dance to a song. It's one of my favorite memories.

I have made reservations at Biergarten, the Sci-Fi drive inn, and we are doing the fantastic show at Hollywood & Vine. DH loves Fantasia so he's excited for the Fantasmic show. The last time we both have been to Disney was when we were kids, so we are excited to experience it as adults!

We just got back from Disney.

I third recommendations for the Chefs table at Victoria and Alberts. It was 10 courses of AMAZING. They also have a Queens table if you can't get a reservation for the chefs table, same menu, just with more people and not in the kitchen. It is pricey though, the base meal without wine pairings or add ons is $250 a person, so,.....It adds up quick.

We also really enjoyed Le Celiar in Epcot, Narcosseses in the Grand Floridian, California Grill in the Contemporary. Both Narcosses and California Grill you can see the Wishes fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. They dim the lights and play the music.( I mean, most the resturants are good. These were a little nicer, more adult ambience, etc.) Flying Fish on the Boardwalk is nice too.

Be our Guest is nice, but since it's new, very loud. Unless you love Beauty and the Beast, I'd pass on it for a romantic meal.

Also, tell people it's your anniversary when you check in and they'll give you a badge. Wear the badge and you'll probably get free dessert. But not at Victoria and Alberts.

One other thing I'd recommend, the Garden View Lounge in the Lobby of the Grand Floridain does tea time. It is wonderful and if you even only marginally like tea, I recommend doing it. The food is light but tasty and the tea is quite nice.

I'm so jealous!! We are going too, at the end of April. We are taking DD so we won't be able to do any real intimate dinners but I'm so pumped! I absolutely love every restaurant at the Grand Floridian. I forgot the name, but the one at the very top floor of the Contemporary was really nice, too. Have so much fun!

Fantasmic is absolutely amazing! We did the same package and it was really fun

You too! This is like our final vacation before we really start TTC instead of NTNP. I hope you guys have a great time too!

Fantasmic got rained out our first trip but we saw it the second time and it was my favorite. We watched wishes on the big thunder mountain railroad and it was a lot of fun.

I was tagging along on DH's business trip (conference at the dolphin) and we had a blast there!

It's so fun and different. It' s a nice break from all the parks

When MH and I stopped their for a few days on our honeymoon, we ate at Fultons in Downtown Disney. I heard they are opening new restaurants there too soon, so depending on when you go there may be something new in the Downtown Disney area?

Downtown is a mess right now because of the remodeling.

But there is going to be a new steakhouse and a maybe a morimoto asia.

One of my favorite places in the world. I went pretty much every night when I lived and worked there. Get whatever liquor special they have in the giant solo cup - you won't regret it.

I agree with this. We went there for lunch though. It was cool to see the new restaurant (because I am a huge beauty and the beast fan) without wasting one of our dinners on it. It is also much cheaper at lunch time.

Ahhhh - Downtown Disney is under heavy construction and parking is very very limited. If you want to go there, go when it opens in the morning or don't go at all right now.

PERFECT time actually. Weather will be fab, and most spring breaks will be over.
