trtlcrzy yes I thought that's how it would end too. I wonder if they are going to take us on a little infertility journey with these two. Or at least show the ups and downs of ttc. Shonda did that on Private Practice but I don't think it's been on Grey's.
Plus, I imagine her past pregnancy/delivery trauma (did you guys watch PP and know that storyline? They haven't discussed it really in Grey's yet) will play a big part here soon.
It's just hard to watch because I remember what that feeling was like, waiting for the line that doesn't show, and I didn't even deal with that as much as a lot of women do.
I only watched the first couple of seasons of PP so I don't know all the details of her previous pregnancy. But seriously why would you tell people you're pregnant before getting a positive test? I'm not going to lie though, I laughed when Meredith was telling her how she told Derek, but I didn't know that Amelia's previous baby daddy was dead at that point.

Yea. I can explain unless you'd rather wait and see how the show does it.
I really hope they give her an easyish time with TTC. They gave Meredith an angry uterus (I forget what she referred it as) in season 7. And every pregnancy seems to have something wrong in one way or another.

Yes please
The spark notes: Amelia had a boyfriend that she did drugs with. He died from an OD. She went to rehab after that. When she got out, she discovered she was pregnant with the bf's baby. It was then discovered that the baby had ancephaly (no brain ) so he wasn't expected to live very long. Amelia wanted to donate his organs.

I don't remember exactly how it started but she got into drugs, oxy I believe. And she started doing it with this guy. Through several weeks of drugs and sex, they fell in love and yada yada. Finally one morning she woke up and he was in the bed next to her dead, overdosed. Soon after she found out she was pregnant. She got clean then. But eventually found out the baby was only growing half a brain. (I forget what that condition is called.) She carried it to term anyway. The baby died soon after birth. It was devastating of course.
So, I have to imagine going through all that will cause some major issues with any future pregnancy.
I'm just here to read what's going on in the greys world. I quit watching seasons ago, it's been a long time. It got weird and I lost interest. Although I'm always curious to get an update on what's going on.
Oh my god I totally forgot that her prior pregnancy was on PP! I watched all of those too. I literally didn't remember until I read that, and couldn't figure out why a) April looked so confused or b) nobody was mentioning the trauma... This show is trigger full and I still watch it. I SOBBED when April and Jackson lost their baby. But I can't quit it. Also, I've watched every episode of Greys at least twice. Tag me in, haha.
That's a hard one. But I dislike Jo right now. She's SO whiny. And Penny Blake was SO bland and one dimensional. She didn't seem to have any personality.
That is really tough. Even if I find a character annoying, I think Shonda is really smart and careful about the characters she brings in. I agree with swim on Jo and Penny. You know who I really can't stand actually is Jackson's mom.
Oh man. There have been a few that annoyed me but Penny is the worst. I saw they're bringing back an old love interest of arizona's and I remember disliking her too. Name escapes me now because she was forgettable.

Leah Murphy. She was kicked out of the surgical program to do lab research so I wonder what they are bringing her back for

i am greys obsessed too. I have all the seasons on DVD and have watched them at least 5 times completely through!
worst character for me was Jane Doe. I didn't like her. What did they end up calling her Eva or Ava. and now every time i see that actress (twilight, etc) i think she has a computer generated face haha. because they picked her face on the show and i never knew her as an actress before

Eta: it's kind of hilarious you forgot her name
Hahaha that's so funny. I guess I really didn't remember her...

Yesssss to Jane Doe and her face, in everything I see her in now.
Dr. Hahn drove me nuts. And Owen did too a little bit. (Old school Grey's)
Owen kind of still drives me nuts. He just seems too intense so quickly. And every time he used to kiss Cristina it was like he was eating her face lol

I watch online so don't see previews - I can't believe they are bringing back Leah Murphy! She was so annoying and definitely ranks in my top three worst Grey's characters, along with Penny Blake and Izzie Stevens. Izzie was so ridiculous. I saw the episode recently where she gave medical treatment to a deer.
Not only did Penny Blake not have a personality, but her story line kind of fizzled. Meredith was mean to her. And then not so mean. The end. I wonder if they had something else planned, but then decided to let her go instead.
Oh I loved Izzie. I mean, until she got all weird when they ended her contract. But I loved original Izzie. And George. Oh how I miss George. I legit felt like my heart had been ripped out when they killed him off.
Who the hell is Leah Murphy? *off to google*
Eta. Why the hell would they bring her back? Of what use is she to the story? Blech.

Hahahaha my best friend and I used to say that exact same thing.
I think Dr. Murphy left because Richard didn't think she was a good surgeon. She had good research skills or something. I think there were other circumstances too but I forget.
I was thinking about Greys last night because of this thread. Why did Shonda make Meredith have little Ellis after Derek died if they never show the kids? At all. Just seems so weird to throw that in.
