I'm finally getting around to reading Dan Brown's Inferno. I figure, I liked the first two (Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons), so might as well read the third. Plus with the movie coming out, it might be cool to read/listen to it and then check out how the movie compares.

Inferno is actually the 4th. The Lost Symbol was the 3rd Robert Langdon book. It was ok - wasn't my favorite. I LOVED Inferno!!

Also, if you like Dan Brown, his non-Robert Langdon books are really good IMO. Digital Fortress and Deception Point. They're both stand alone books and I really liked both of them.

Omg lol. I skipped that one. Maybe I'll go back and pick it up after Inferno....they can mostly be standalones though, right? Or will I be lost?

You'll be ok. Other than some small references of him dealing with other past events they are basically stand alone.
I'm so excited for the Inferno movie I'm almost considering trying to take R to a daytime showing at some point. Not sure how it would go, but I'd love to not have to wait for the DVD.

LadyNymeria, I loved his other books especially Deception Point,
I just finished Luckiest Girl Alive which was NOT what I thought it'd be, but I liked it. Part of me isn't sure I want to start a new book, I'm a stay up all night until I finish it person, and I REALLY need some sleep lately!
I just finished Big Little Lies. GKU board is doing a book club about it this week (everyone welcome to join!). It looks long but it was a quick read and a nice light one.
Others I've read recently and enjoyed: Life After Life Station Eleven Ready Player One Into the Forest The Prince of Tides The Heart Goes Last

Oh my god, Luckiest Girl Alive was not what I was expecting at all but I legit read it in two days. I couldn't put it down

I just finished Everyone Brave is Forgiven by Chris Cleave. It's a fictional historical war/ love story set back in London in WW2. Good read. Took a few chapters for me to really get into it, but once I did I couldn't put it down.

I'm currently reading Outlander. Somehow I missed that it is part romance novel part fantasy/historical fiction. But that's okay, I like it anyway. I just wish I didn't know my boss had also read it.
I'm reading Hex. It's a horror book that I'm reading for my fiction class. No me gusta. It was scary in the beginning but now it's stupid.
I'm a big geek, so I really want to read the new Star Wars Ahsoka book (she's my favorite) but I'm in class right now so I have to keep reading stuff for my thesis. I'm reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman next.
I'm jealous of you real book readers. I feel like I've only had time to read baby-related things. Currently reading the Ina May Gaskin book about childbirth and Penny Simkin's The Birth Partner.

lol I've read 5 pregnancy books so far and I'm only 16 weeks. And I just bought The Happiest Baby on the Block the other day. But lately it's been time to read for me again. Plus I just want to get my kindle stocked up for when these babies come.

I've been reading Harry Potter and the cursed child since August. It's not that I don't want to read but I'm not enjoying and don't want to start a new book.

peaseblossom55 if you aren't enjoying it, shelve it for now! There are so many good books out there.
I'm re-reading HP and Sorcerers Stone because it was free with Amazon Prime right now. I'm also slowly working through Seanan McGuire's Toby Daye series. Excellent urban fantasy.
I loved American Gods setsuna17. There's going to be a mini-series next year on...Showtime? I'm excited.

+1 to not suffering through a book you're not enjoying. Too many books to read for that!
silvermelody - GKU is doing HP and the Sorcerer's Stone for our November book club - you should join in!
I have been listening to the Kinsey Milhone series by Sue Grafton. I'm waiting for L is for Lawless right now. I wish I could read a real book but I tend to ignore my child when I do that; I get too engulfed in the story. Maybe when this LO is born I can pick up something to read during MOTN nursing.

It took me two or three tries to get into it. It's... different? I guess that's the word I'm looking for. It's what I was expecting but I don't really know what I was expecting either so yeah

I'm about halfway thru and I'm still not into it. Not my style I guess.
