We're going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disneyland on Saturday night. We'll be home for Halloween and I'm thinking we'll tag along with my brother and his kids for trick-or-treating. I'm pretty sure Gianna is going to love it all, can't wait to see how much fun she has!

michyme123, since it's our first Halloween in the neighborhood, and first one trick-or-treating, H and I both want to take DS around, so we'll probably leave a bowl out. We plan on taking him basically just to our immediate neighbors at the start of trick-or-treating, so I'll just dump like, one out of the many bags I have into a bowl, so even if it gets raided while we're gone, I'll have back-up once we're back. The rest of the night we'll probably just let him hang on the porch with us and pass out candy, it's actually supposed to be nice weather this year on Halloween!
Tonight we're going trunk-or-treating at his day care, I think. The weather is horrible, and the email they sent today said, "if the weather doesn't cooperate we'll move inside, but plan for being outside even if it's raining." So I'm thinking we'll brave it, and just not stay long at all if it is outside, and it's still freezing rain like it is now.

We did a trunk or treat last night, and may do another one tonight if the weather clears off (both of which I feel sort of obligated to do due to who is hosting them). We'll carve pumpkins this weekend.
I think my H will probably take DD out Monday night for actual trick or treat and I'll hand out candy. I'm not sure how far they'll make it, as DD has a mind of her own.

You people in your suburbs with your trunk or treating. There's nothing like that here. Someone help me move out of NYC yet still be able to commute to Brooklyn. And it's not like I can take him trick or treating to different apartments, BOO!
jillywilly, nice to hear it's supposed to be decent weather for Halloween! Because our plans are totally dependent on that. DS has a Halloween party and parade at school, and I'm taking him to a Halloween event on Friday night. LO is getting the shaft, so I hope we can take him around to a few houses!
We are going traditional trick or treating. One of my child hood friends just moved into our development and he asked that we stop by. So we will def hit his house and possibly another street. But will stil lbe home for her usual bed time.

Traditional trick or treating here too, just down our street. DD1 is so excited, so I think that B will love it too because she's always happy doing whatever big sister does.
DD1 has preschool on the Tuesday so she'll get to wear a costume again that day.
I work at the daycare on Friday which is when they are doing their fall fest. So C will take part in that. Sunday we'll go to a trunk or treat in my hometown. Monday evening I'll take him out to a few houses. (DHs aunts all live in town, so we'll head there.). I asked our neighbors if anyone trick or treats in our little subdivision- they said they usually just visit the house next door and head into town (or wherever they go.). I bought 1 small bag in case they stop here (which I think they are)

We already did a trick or treat event at a local amusement park. And a Halloween themed race.
Tonight our local brewpub is hosting a pumpkin carving contest we'll go to. (Plus there will be like 10 pumpkin beers on tap)
Saturday is pumpkin carving while watching Halloween movies.
Sunday we were going to go to a Day of the Dead festival, but LBB got invited last minute to a birthday party, so we're doing that instead. Although I have a Day of the Dead race that morning.
Monday we'll go trick or treating. We go early and leave a bowl out. According to our neighbors they've never seen anyone take our bowl and dump it, but we also leave a note telling people we'll be back with more candy just in case.
Daycare's fall festival is tomorrow so I am leaving early for that. They are still dressing up in costumes but no parade like years past. Instead the PTA is organizing booths and wants the parents to volunteer at the booths. I would rather have the parade again, so we'll see about this booths thing. Also it is kind of awkward when they have the events because DD's event and LO's event are at different playgrounds, so we'll probably just take LO with us to DD's playground.
Saturday immediately after DD's soccer game we are going over to SIL's for lunch and for the kids to hang out with the cousins prior to trunk or treat. Then I assume dinner somewhere after.
The other days we aren't really planning anything.
DS has preschool Monday morning so they are having a Halloween party. Then we'll go trick or treating around town after naps. We usually all go out for a walk and leave a bowl of candy out but I may stay behind this year, we'll see. It's pretty fun trick or treating because I live in such a small town that everyone is out walking around with their kids and you know everyone's houses.
We'll carve pumpkins this weekend sometime. Some friends of ours are hosting a (family friendly) Halloween party Saturday but they live about an hour away and we've been gone for 3 weekends in a row, I kind of just want to stay home.
Im looking for a fun Halloween date night for Friday night.
Saturday is a Halloween Bash downtown Sunday is our church's autumnfest - inflatables, games, food, truck or treat Monday - traditional trick or treating!
My parents are visiting this week so I think we'll walk around our street and trick or treat here. Our neighbors are going all out! It looks like it will be a fun area.
We'll spend some time handing out candy from home too

There is a little thing going on at the town center near us on Halloween, so we may hit that up and then go trick or treating in the neighborhood across the street, it has great trick or treating!
I still need to get LO a costume, and maybe something festive for myself, too...

I still need to get her a costume too. I have a rabbit hat with ears but she won't wear it so I need to find her something not hat dependent
Cars park in a parking lot and people open the trunk, sometimes its decorated, and hand out candy from there. Im more a fN of traditional trick or treating but its a great option for people who dont live in a neighborhood thats good for trick or treating
O hates his costume and currently screams if a stranger talks to him. Trick or treating sounds like hell with him. I'll pass out candy with my BFF and O might hang with us or inside with H.

So we went to trunk-or-treat at day care and I think DS was completely overwhelmed by it. He basically clung to H for dear life, poor bud. I don't think it helped though that it's been basically sleeting here all day so they did it inside, so it was super crowded and probably not as fun as the original plan. Oh well, at least it got him kind of used to his costume for actual Halloween and trick or treating?

Around here, trunk or treat is also usually sponsored by a certain group and you make a donation to non-profit or the like (by giving canned food, gloves for the homeless, etc..), and in turn get to trick or treat. It's usually very fun and festive.

Us too. M started crying when the UPS guy knocked on our door to deliver boots.

I just checked the forecast and it's supposed to be 71 on Halloween! We will trick or treat a few houses on our cul-de-sac and then come back to hand out our own candy.
Saturday we are headed to a party/ ToT with friends in WI. Their littlest guy is 5d younger than C. We will hit the zoo on the way home on Sunday.
We just got our costume from belle0720 and it is the freaking cutest!!! I'm waiting on the dog's costume to take some pictures to share with you guys:)

I will be at work. Either H or my parents will attempt to take J out trick or treating. Maybe we will find something this weekend halloweenish to do together.
