WE have a Halloween party and a costume contest.. I cant participate because I am in charge but I am more then happy to not have to wear my normal attire into the office.

I don't dress up in the least because we just don't do that in my office (small company, it's not conservative in terms of formality of dress, because there's a lot of business casual/jeans even, but it's conservative in dressing more traditionally, if that makes sense). The idea of hinting at a character is super cute though, I'd totally do it if I were more motivated.
I haven't been working for a few years now, but my favourite work costume was when I dressed up as my shop foreman. I even scored one of his work shirts with his personalized name badges from his wife 😄
I have a Halloween shirt I typically wore to work. One year we dressed up and I had a crazy wig, shiny tunic, and pink eyelashes. My students said I was lady Gaga or Katy perry lol.
I work in a small office (about 20 people). We talk about it every year. I usually bring a pair of ears or something with me. That way if others are dressed up, I can partake, but also not risk being the only one.
Our Halloween parade (public library) was yesterday! Here's my last minute steampunk costume, because my actual costume is Wendy from Peter Pan and I couldn't work up the nerve to wear a nightgown to work.
No one at work dresses up, but I 100% would if other people did. I was thinking about wearing my Dionne costume since it's just normal clothes but I'm afraid the skirt is too short. The Captain Hook outfit I'm wearing this weekend is also definitely business casual, but it will probably be dirty still since I'm wearing it on Saturday.
Everyone at my school dresses up. The kids are allowed to wear their costumes all day. I'm going as Anna and my two assistants are going as Elsa and Olaf.
billyhorrible I love love the Snow White hint-of-a-costume costume.. and I love that idea for work!
Ive always dressed up for Halloween almost any job Ive had, was one of my fav days of the year while teaching preschool! Different level of costume depending on the job of course.
Im not working right now, but I'll dress up with Jazz this year. We're going real simple compared to my costumes of the past. Strawberry (her) and Banana (me).. I'm irrationally excited about this!

You GUYS!
Went to the break room to grab my lunch and ran into another attorney whose dressed up! She's Rosie the Riveter in white pants, blue button down, and a bandana as a headband.
