I miss you ladies (I know we always say that and that we wish our board was more active but I was thinking of you all tonight!)
1. DD is dressing up as a witch for halloween and the other day she was telling grandma and grandpa what she was going to be with a mouth full of food and it came out as b*tch. For some reason I just couldn't get over how funny it sounded and she just looked at me like I was crazy, haha.
2. Speaking of bad language DD picked up the word dammit from either DH or myself and luckily she has stopped saying after a couple of days. I have such a hard time watching what I'm saying, ugh. Mom fail.
3. We are in super mode trying to get our house looking a bit more put together before the holidays. We moved in almost a year ago and finally have formal dining room furniture and are starting to decorate the walls after painting.
4. DS is 8.5 months and crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. He is still a super mellow, go with the flow baby but I have a feeling he's going to be into things a lot more then DD ever was. I just wish he'd sleep through the night!
5. I am trying to cherish every bit of DS being a baby because we are pretty sure he's our last. It goes by wayyy to fast. I already have baby fever :/. Now I want to go get him from his crib and snuggle him..
6. I have been trying to workout a bit more and hope to stick to it. It is doing wonders for my mental (and physical) health. Bonus is that both kids are doing wonderful going to the Y daycare while I workout!
7. Both kids are loving swim lessons. DD absolutely loves jumping into the pool (into daddys arms of course) and DS is seriously a little fish. The swim instructor calls him Michael Phelps, he moves his arms, kicks and moves his whole body through the water the entire time! It's the funniest thing to watch. I can't wait to see if he loves swimming as he gets older. DH has already made comments that we have to get an above ground pool for him .
8. I had a pretty bad day with DD a few weeks ago and I know my nextdoor neighbor heard me yell at her when I finally had enough, I'm still so embarrassed and don't even want to see him. 3 year olds are hard man!
9. DD officially isn't napping anymore, ugh! I do make her go to her room with her door shut for quiet play/read time. I miss those 2 hour naps for my "me"/cleaning time.
10. DH is home from the grocery store with halloween candy!!!

Hiiiiiiiii!
1. I'm sitting at work currently with the lights off counting down until I can leave. We tell the emergency room staff we close at midnight, but we actually have until 12:30 to finish up the last patient.
2. I work part time evenings and enjoy the extra time at home and with the kiddos. My husband however is starting to get a bit lonely I think so I may try to get a day job if one comes available in the same hospital.
3. DD1 is very opinionated and spiteful these days. I'm trying to harness her energy into productive things, but when I'm too tired or have something else to attend to (like DD2) she can be quite a handful.
4. Re: me being tired in #3- I've had fatigue, joint pain and dizziness intermittently for 3 years. The doctors kept telling me it was because of pregnancy/breastfeeding. I finally went back in July when I developed a butterfly rash and shortness of breath and demanded more testing. I've been diagnosed with lupus since and have started new medications to help combat the symptoms. While it's nice to have a diagnosis it's been a bit hard to handle.
5. I think we are for sure 2 and done because of the lupus and I hate that my body made the decision for me. I'm trying to cherish every minute of babyhood while I have it. A part of my wants to 🖕🏼to lupus and have a 3rd (after a doctor ok of course)
6. DD2 is 18mos now and she's around 95% for height/weight. She fits into a lot of DD1s stuff from last year and it's crazy to be pulling it back out again.
7. She still sleeps in a brace for her hip dyplasia but seems to be ok otherwise. We don't go back until march for a follow up.
8. I am not ready for this snow in the morning/rain mid morning, cold crazy NY weather yet! I need a few more weeks of fall to adjust.
9. I haven't touched the Halloween candy I bought at home, but I can't seem to keep my hand out of the Candy drawer at work 😕
10. Have any of the S13ers left ever met another S13er? I know back on TB days there was a few meet ups but I can't remember who was involved
@fiveohfive sorry to hear about the lupus diagnosis but I'm glad you have some answers as to whats been going on. I hope with medication you're feeling better. I'm in the same boat with the 3 year old, so difficult to juggle daily tasks, baby brother, etc. She is into make believe lately and if I'm not in her "house" or "shopping" she gets irritated and starts causing trouble.
fiveohfive , ((HUGS)) sorry to hear about your diagnosis. as somebody who has multiple autoimmune disease I know how hard it can be. Glad you know and are working on feeling better!
1. I love all things pumpkin spice, but have been on a diet and haven't eaten any yummy treats this fall. 2. But I've lost 11lbs so far 3. DD still won't poop on the potty. 4. DD#2 is finally sleeping at night ::knock on wood:: 5. I'm really happy it's Friday because I just don't feel like working 6. I can't wait to see my girls dressed as Sully and Mike Wazowski for Halloween 7. It's rainy and cold and I'd like to take a nap 8. I'm very excited for Gilmore Girls next month 9. I'm starting to pump wean and I'm really happy about it 10. DH and I aren't in an good place right now, and I'm not sure how I feel about it
ETA: I have not met any S13ers. I have met somebody from the old TTGP on TB and a couple Nesters, one who is now a really good friend and another who I haven't seen in years but I've seen her around these boards but I can't remember what BMB I spotted her on.

DD1 is starting to get super pissed at DD2 for not properly playing kitchen/house and moving things she has set out for a certain reason. I've been trying to explain that DD2 doesn't quite understand pretend play but it's not sinking in! Somehow she doesn't care if I'm not playing pretend, but HATES that her sister can't do it right lol

fiveohfive, So sorry about the lupus diagnosis. Hoping that the medication helps!
And well... it's Saturday but I'll play.
1. I have not met any S13ers (I don't even think there are any in my vicinity) but last week I actually met a J15er! Our babies are 8 days apart and her son is 2 months older than my S13 DD. It was fun, and also kind of strange to meet after talking online for so long!
2. We are going to a first birthday party today.... for the 3rd weekend in a row. Partying all weekend sure has a new meaning these days.
3. DH is currently working 10 days out of town and 4 home. It's been pretty terrible. The 4 days he's home go by so fast and he is always so busy that we haven't had much chance to spend time as a family. I can tell that the girls really miss him too.
4. Hopefully next shift we can go away for a mini-vacation.
5. DD1 is loving preschool and I'm so glad. She's finally starting to come out of her shell a bit.
6. Preschool falls during DD2's current nap time. So I spend a lot of days just drinking coffee, in my car, in the preschool parking lot while she sleeps in the backseat.
7. We booked a trip for next year WITHOUT kids and I keep debating cancelling. I feel too guilty to leave them, but I know that DH and I could really use the time together and it's our 5 year anniversary.
8. I'm still nursing DD2, so that also plays into my concerns. Tips on weaning toddlers who don't want to wean? Haha.
9. I also have baby fever but know that we aren't in a good place to have another right now. I'm already overwhelmed enough as it is, and we need a house with more space first.
10. I've been keeping busy with my little photography gigs, and it's nice to contribute to the family income just a tiny bit. Like... barely any.. but at least I'm trying.
1) After 7 months of night shifts, my DH is finally into his new position at work and on straight day shifts!!! 2) DS has 8 teeth coming through at once, and has been a mess. Hoping they pop through soon! 3) I've been trying lose weight, which sucks but is needed. I'm down about 8# since June, so not great but better than nothing. 4) I'm antsy to get out house decorated, but haven't found curtains or decor things that I like yet. 5) DD is so much fun and is finally coming out of the emotional, tantrum filled, super crazy stage. 6) We went trick or treating 2 times, and DD had so much fun! 7) We're currently having a Disney movie marathon because DD has come down with a cold 8) I have baby fever, even though I'm not getting sleep still from the last baby! Planning to ttc in the new year 9) laundry is the worst and I cannot keep up with it. 10) I'm super excited for Christmas this year, because I think DD will be super into it and excited for her elf, Santa, gifts, Christmas cookies, etc.
