Moving a freezer stash

I am moving to a new house in a few weeks and looking for advice on how to best transport my freezer stash. I have about 100oz frozen in bags. It's about a 45 minute drive across town to the new house. For that length of time would it be safe enough to transport it in a cooler with ice packs? Anyone with experience doing this? Thanks!

Well hello! I think that should be totally fine. Wednesday at 6am I took 2 bags from the freezer and put them in the fridge in case hubs needed them that afternoon. He didn't end up using them and when I got home at 5pm they were still frozen solid. Like to the point where I put them back in the freezer. 45 minutes with ice packs should be just as frozen still.

P.S. I'm already planning out my cooler situation in case I lose power in a blizzard this winter!

Congrats on the new house! Yep 45mins is just fine. All it needs is to still have ice crystals in it to refreeze, so pack it in a cooler w/ ice packs and you're good to go. When I drive my milk donations I don't even use ice packs and just drive it down (30mins away) and it hasn't even started to really thaw yet.

Most definitely! Cooler stuck in a snowbank like my parents used to do with our meat growing up hahahah
