Ended up with both kids in bed last night. Why is it that half our bed consists of me, a toddler and a 5 year old crammed together and the other half is wife and a bigass body pillow? Anywho...
My back couldn't take it any more so I took DS2 into DS1's vacant bed. H wasn't having it and insisted on getting up about 4:30. I was like...no dude it's way too early. He kept climbing out of bed. Apparently I waited just a split second too long and couldn't grab him back into bed. He took off in the dark and ran right into the dresser! He ran so fast back into bed. Lol! He still insisted we wake up, so been up since 4:30. I asked him if I'll ever get to sleep in again and he shook his head no...At least he's honest.
Yeah...so today turned into cleaning the house from top to bottom and reorganize a lot of stuff. Put a glider together for the front porch as well. On the plus side I did grab an hour nap. I think grocery shopping is on the agenda later tonight. Can a person do too much adulting in a single day?
Skipped grocery store. Just picked up milk for the little guy and wine for W. Putting DS2 down now, then practicing reading with the bigger guy before tucking him in. Hopefully everyone stays in their own beds tonight. Hope you had a decent Saturday gents. Tomorrow it's soccer and local Halloween festivities!
Guys, what are you doing today? I need something to turn my Saturday around. DS2 ended up in our bed at 1230, he's small but a bed hog. I left the bed at 3:30 after finding him star-fishing my side after going to the bathroom. Then he woke up screaming for milk at 5. Got him milk and laid back in our bed. I must have fallen asleep for a few hard min because when he hopped out of bed at 5:30 and ran downstairs, I was greeted by dog shit in the playroom. I never sleep through the pup's cries to go out.
I'm exhausted, about to make breakfast, and then get the big guy to karate. On the bright side I've already packed the food donation bag and have it hanging out front for the scout troop to pick up.
Today is going splendid. At karate littlest man knocked over a woman's coffee and drenched her bag. At least it was a running draw string bag and not some crazy expensive one. She was cool about it. Then I took the older one for a surprise just the two of us outing he's been asking for, for awhile now. The place had a trampoline, zip lines, swings, crafts...all sorts of stuff he loves. But he fell asleep on the way and broke down in tears as we walked in. To his point, it was loud and crowded (it was a grand reopening). So I took him to his favorite spot "Mengees" (Menchies) for frozen yogurt instead. Upon getting home wife says "so do you want to rake the leaves today or tomorrow?" Which meant go do it now because little guy is sleeping and tomorrow is going to be cold AF.
Nice weather tuned into "we should probably put up the Christmas lights, too."
On the bright side I got 30 mins to workout, a bit of time to play soccer with the kiddos, and a solid play-doh session in. I'm freakin exhausted though. I'm already looking forward to coffee in the morning. I just hope the littles sleep in to at least 5:30 or 6.
