It's 4am and I'm listening to W sing in her crib praying she gets bored and falls back asleep. They both have colds and A woke up screaming at 2. I had already moved to the guest bedroom b/c MH was snoring and the dog was noisy and I couldn't sleep, so I've essentially gotten an hour of sleep so far tonight. I gave up after 4 paci replacements and 90 minutes of rocking- he's also in a very manipulative stage as far as sleep is concerned and I'm just tired of the game. He yelled for 40 minutes- just long enough to wake W. I know, no CIO when babies are sick but his pediatrician and I have talked at length and there's really nothing else to do- he's mad that I'm leaving the room, he's otherwise fine. He won't sleep in my bed or my arms. My head is pounding but she's still chatting away, so why bother trying to sleep at this point?! Blah, sick twins are no fun.

We moved Z and W to their room last night. It worked so much better than we expected. They were in their own cribs and we just had 2 wakeups. We slept well without all the baby noises and the puppy didn't feel left out.

Our crib transition went way better than expected when it happened. They were ready, mama wasn't!
W finally fell back asleep about 5 min after that post. I woke MH up when they got up and moved back to my bed. I'm just getting up- not that I slept much, they were loud and whiny all morning, but at least I can shower and get some coffee before they wake up from their nap. MH is a keeper

I wanted to put them in their room from day 1. H was not ready to move them last night. He is now a fan of having them in their own room.
I'm glad you at least got some rest, even if you weren't sleeping.

Sorry to all of you with sick kids!
H went grocery shopping this morning so I was alone with them for a while. I'm getting so much better at managing it. I fed them both, diapered them both, and folded & put away the laundry, and picked up a bit, all in less than 2 hours!

Yeah, this evening went less well... H had a work thing and they pretty much screamed the whole time except when I had them both in the boba (my poor back). But it ended with this cuteness, so who can complain?
