hey all... help me... should I draft a thank you email to the guy I interviewed with? if so how should I word it, it's been soooooo long since I've gone through an interview!
Mine is usually a quick thank you for meeting and then outline the things you discussed, detailing how well you could fill that roll and why.
Rough Ex. We discussed how creating and maintaining organizational systems is key to success for this position. As manager of Smith Bank, I developed a system to xyz and monitored and updated it on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
I'm not good at this outside of my field, but hopefully you catch my drift.
becole, yeah that one is nice as well. I just want something that I can, like you said, nurse baby then just roll them back over into their own sleeping area. I'll keep an eye out for one.
Every time I pick him up and set him in the rnp, he wakes up.
If I knew you would be done with the halo bassinet by the time I need it, I'd totally let you borrow it. I've been thinking about getting it at bbb since I have 20% off coupon. It also has a vibrate option on it, my friend said that was nice to have-so I'll probably bite the bullet and just get it.

becole there's a few cosleepers for sale on fb, some are the kind that go in the middle of the bed ($10-$20) and a few of the arm's reach ones going for $75-100.
hbrockman01 It's been awhile for me, but I would keep it short and sweet. Thank you for the interview, it was nice to meet you, please reach out for follow up questions, and I look forward to hearing from you. Obviously, use formal coherent sentences and include contact info (phone/email)

I have the cosleeper that goes in the middle of the bed. He doesn't like it and it sinks too much in our shit bed. Idk how I used it for 5 weeks with DS but y'all are welcome to borrow it.
I thought about buying the arms reach and then reselling.
vlagroupie I would be happy to try it out for you but I don't know if it will solve our problem. The rnp has vibrate but I haven't even put batteries in it! I think the hard plastic and it being cold when I lay him down on the fabric. I might plug in my heating pad.
Maybe you guys can help me brainstorm..... for the first time since having kids (yes, 2 1/2 years...) DH and I are having a date night Saturday. My mom is coming down to watch my monsters for the whole night! We have exactly zero ideas of what to do. I mean, just going to dinner seems like a waste. Anyone know of any shows, events, anything happening this Saturday? This will likely be our only date for the next who knows how many years, so I'd like to make it worthwhile! 😂
becole, do you guys have a guest room or is DH in the same room with you guys? What worked for me was putting the mattress/box spring on the floor, so it's not high off the ground, and sleeping with babe when he was young. We would side lie nurse him to sleep and then I'd leave him there and just roll myself over to the other side of the mattress. I dressed warm/didn't use blankets. I figured it was the closest equivalent to buying one of the cosleepers. Accomplished the same thing.

H is on the couch, I'm in the bed by myself. But the bed is up high. No real room to move it out of the 4 poster bed. I could definitely move away from babe. I just worry about him rolling from side to belly. Maybe I can roll him on his back.

I'm fairly easy to please. If you're up to watching a movie, I suggest Cinebistro in Liberty. They have a nice bar inside, and you can order good food and drinks (restaurant style food, not like, hot dogs) in the theater and eat while the movie plays. Also, Best.Seats.Ever. And nobody under 21 allowed.

Yeah, guess that wasn't clear. I did roll DS2 on his back since he was on side when he fell asleep nursing. I never had luck moving him back to a crib afterward either. They are so finicky!

We've been to one movie in theatre in about 10yrs. Movie is a good thought, but neither one of us are big movie people.
bazingaa so glad you and H get to have a date night! Is it sad that I can't think of any dates other than lots of food and drinking? We restaurant hopped at a bunch of places at Liberty Center, which was fun because you can't really do that with kids. You could see a movie there (cinebistro!!!) and check out some of the places nearby. I thought Cantina Laredo had great margaritas, H had fun doing the wine tasting with me at Cooper's hawk, etc. Not the hippest date, but can be sort of fun.
Omg I love going to the movie and drinking and eating in the plush recliners. Heaven... plus movie popcorn...
Otherwise- fancy dinner out in otr and then bar hop like you're 22.
Okay change my vote. OTR is probably better than Liberty Center. (We just did Liberty because if we drank too much we could get a really cheap Uber or have our parents pick us up).

Yes I always say to do something short and sweet and add a small detail that will help the interviewer remember you.
