After work tonight I'm babysitting a 3 month old for a few hours. I'm going to be exhausted because I tried to stay up for the game last night, but tiny squishy!!
I was over an hour late for work today, not such a great start... but side note I got to put A's hair up in a pony today before she left for school, no hair chewing today!!

My first thought waking up was, "Yes! It's Friday!!" Imagine my disappoint 10 seconds later when I realized it was Thursday.
I'm going to leave work early to shop for a wedding we're going to this weekend. I'll probably post some options in the thread while browse at work, have your opinions ready.
dogmama22, I'm exhausted just thinking about your day and night.

We had a rough night. DS ended up in my bed because his coughing was out of control and he kept crying. He passed out as soon as his head hit dad's pillow.
Rough night here too. Between this chest congestion/wheezing all night and restless legs, I think I got 2 hours of sleep. Also this baby was moving around like crazy last night too, so yeah that didn't help my sleep situation either.
hbrockman01 I have like 4-5 boxes broken down for you. I'll see what else we can come up with, not sure it would be worth your time to drive over here for 4 boxes, but they are in my garage right not if you want them.
Also, I waited till the last minute to order some of my niece's bday present (party is saturday), so I get onto the Amazon wishlist this morning. I figured I might just pay for the expedited shipping but to my surprise they offered FREE same-day shipping. How in the world do they do that??
Rough night? I hope this baby is treating you loads better than C did.
It wasn't terrible but I'm just feeling it today. He slept 9-11, then 12-1:30. Then I fell asleep when he was feeding so I'm fuzzy what happened but I had trouble getting him back to sleep until 4:30. He pooped twice in a row and a couple diaper changes later and another feeding. Idk. Then he slept until 7. I tried to go back to sleep after 7 but DS and H were way too loud. He's probably not too bad for 2 weeks. He's been cluster feeding too at night so it's hard for me to get to bed. One night this week he wouldn't go down until 11.

Sounds like normal newborn stuff. You're doing great!
Does anyone have a side car cosleeper bed thing? He sometimes does long stretches in the rnp but he does best when side lying and nursing and then not being moved. I don't want to keep him in my bed because then I don't sleep. I don't want to buy some other baby gear but I think it would help.

I want one for my next baby. We used the rnp most of the time, but I feel like the swivel bassinet things that pull right up to the bed are so much nicer. I see them often on fb sale pages if you want me to keep an eye out for you.
Are you usually able to fall asleep while nursing, or is it just from exhaustion right now? I could never actually fall asleep while nursing, which I was actually a little sad about.
Guys I am so freakin nervous about waking DD up at 4am tomorrow morning. She has been sleeping so well this week (like 730p-830a well), and I really don't want this trip to ruin that.
How early do I really need to be at the airport for a 645am flight?

6AM. Security doesn't open until 6AM anyway I think.
We once had one of those early flights and got there like two hours early, then had to wait around over an hour for security to open.

Check the website to see what time TSA opens. Doors close 10 minutes before flight and they ask for 30 minutes to get bag to plane. I honestly think if you are in the parking lot by 5:45 am you're fine should be no traffic and if you have stroller you skip any lines.

We put the PnP on the highest setting right next to our bed, so that wasn't too bad.

Are you talking about the halo bassinet? I'm seriously considering getting one. My bff in fl had one and loved it. I think it would work great for me too post rcs. I kinda want to buy new unless I knew where the used one came from personally, like a friend, weird I know.

Ehh. I'd be careful. Some airlines have strict rules about checking bags, like they have to be checked by one hour prior to departure. I'm not sure how that works if security doesn't open till 6, but I would hate for you to arrive at 6 and be told you can't check your bags because you missed that deadline by 15mins. Maybe call the airline? I think it varies by carrier and even airport. One hour is stuck in my head since I know that's the rule for when I'm in NYC for work.

The Allegiant counter closes an hour before the flight. So if you're checking luggage you have to be there by 5:45 at the latest. Then an hour should be enough time to get to your gate.
That being said, I usually try to get there 2 hours early.
Thanks for all the tips. We were planning on getting there 2 hours early, but it's just so flippin early and I don't want to just be waiting around. Maybe we will shoot for 1.5 hours. I will check to see when security opens.
vlagroupie, yes, that's the one! I couldn't think of the name of it. They're expensive, but I see them a lot on the for sale pages.

I think I'm talking about the arms reach cosleeper where the side comes down and they are pushed right up to the bed.
I do fall asleep nursing side lying and then wake up and freak out. I wish baby was in his own space. I'm thinking if I had that pushed up to the bed, I could just slide him over and shut the side.
becole, yeah that one is nice as well. I just want something that I can, like you said, nurse baby then just roll them back over into their own sleeping area. I'll keep an eye out for one.

Every time I pick him up and set him in the rnp, he wakes up.
hey all... help me... should I draft a thank you email to the guy I interviewed with? if so how should I word it, it's been soooooo long since I've gone through an interview!
