I'm ready to murder DH. Nap time has not happened. He left to go surfing. Em proceeded to scream for 30 minutes in her crib. I finally got up and got her. She rolled around in my bed for a while. Then got up and proceeded to have a literal shit-splosion all over the white brick fireplace. Got her and the fireplace all cleaned up. Tried to get her to lay back down. She rolls around for a while. Decides she wants milk.
Freaks out her milk cup because I refuse to put more milk in it even when it's basically full. Cue 20 minutes of freaking out. Finally she decides she's hungry.
So I'm trying to get a baking sheet loaded up with sweet potato puffs to put in the oven. And proceed to scorch all my arm hair off because I accidentally turned the gas on under the sheet and then set the lighter off.
And then I heated up leftovers in the meantime for Em to eat and was feeding her on the counter and she grabbed the freaking knife out the block and almost stabbed me in the face.
I'm about to rage out and DH's dumbass needs to come home before my toddler kills me.
Ughhhh. I just realized Daylight Savings time ends tonight. Really hoping it doesn't mess with lo's sleep too bad, especially since he only had a 20 minute car nap. Spent the night at my parent's last night so dh and his friends could be as loud as they wanted. Went to the cloth diaper store with my friend to help her get a feel for what she wants to use. They had tons of toys out, so lo was entertained while we shopped. Somehow I made it out without buying a thing. We spent about an hour playing in the leaves this afternoon. Lo's new favorite is Ring Around the Rosie and then flopping in the pile of leaves. We even let the cat play in them for a bit. Hopefully dh and his friends are quiet tonight. I don't feel like packing up all our shit again and I want to sleep in my own bed.
ashlantic so the man baby shower lasts the whole weekend? As in these guys sleep over?!
Yup. They mostly stay in the basement and play video games all weekend. They've actually made an effort to be quiet, especially when lo is sleeping so it hasn't been terrible. I'm still really hoping they're all gone when lo and I get back from the zoo. Lol
It's amazing how much you can accomplish when your kid is up at 6:30. *cries* Hopefully this isn't his new wakeup time.
Try 430! F normally sleeps 6-630, but was up super early this morning. I blame teething and the time change.
Ugh, you have my sympathies. Lo had a phase where 4:30 was his wakeup time for about a month. It was rough. He used to be a super early riser but lately has been sleeping until 7/7:30. Hopefully F is back on schedule tomorrow.
Good morning.. I am working today... MIL and I went shopping yesterday and I bought some great decorations for the new house... then we had company over last night and grilled steaks..it was great to sit down and socialize....we seem to go from wake up time until after sunset working on the house... DH and LO are going to MIL house today to help her with a few things...they plan to order Chinese from our favorite take out place and they will bring me home some.... LO has a cough that is worse with running but it also happens in his sleep..not sure what to think! No fever and sometimes a runny nose...should I run to the doctors or just watch... LO has peed in the potty 2 times now...anyone in here have a potty trained toddler...there is one girl in his class at DC who is and has been for a few months now... Ok I am going to watch OITNB on Netflix and act like I am doing some work!
Not potty trained here babyw15. But there's progress! No thanks to me. All DC. Leo ends up in the 2 yo class by end of day and he's picking up on the potty concept. He follows me into the bathroom, see's his potty and pulls down his pants. Sits there and when he see's me getting tp, he'll ask for some too and "wipe".
I've heard boys are hard to train so all the help I can get from DC is much appreciated!
Hello everyone! Started my day by getting kicked out of breakfast at our hotel because LO wasn't wearing shoes. Not cool keeping the pregnant lady with toddler away from food.

Officially finished Em's Christmas shopping this morning!!
Woot woot!!
I got her: - Globber 5-in-1 Scooter - Trunki Suitcase - Pete the Cat saves christmas book - Shirt from target to wear at her birthday party.
My mom & I also brainstormed and picked out her birthday party theme. So I'm pretty excited that's done. Lol. We're doing "dogs" because party city has a really cute set right now.
My mom was like what does she like? Me: Dogs. The color yellow. Airplanes.
Haha. So a puppy themed party it is. Just need a catchy party name now.
ourcrazynavylife Nice! So far LO is getting a Radio Flyer scooter, pjs, a book "Home for Christmas" (about pet adoption), and a Duplo set. Sadly, I think the book cost the most. I started thinking about her birthday last week. We were thinking a puppy/kitty theme since she LOVES all animals, but already did the woodland theme for her baby shower. Yesterday, she saw a raccoon on tv and started yelling kitty. We figured it was close enough lol.
ourcrazynavylife damn, you're on top of things! I haven't even thought about lo's birthday except for the thought that I want to do a much smaller party. And Pete the Cat is a big hit around here.
Lo's Christmas list: Play kitchen + food Books about cats Wood blocks Ski helmet Bath bubbles and color tabs for his stocking. raven we're doing Duplo for his birthday. I found a cute pinterest idea where you turn a cheap Ikea side table into a little Duplo table.
