Week/Team/Fruit:24w3d (yay, viability!)

Appointments this week: None.

Symptoms: More back and belly discomfort that doesn't completely resolve with rest. The belly support band helps, but I keep forgetting to grab it in the morning and it would be very obvious with the fitted clothes I wear. I *hate* the maternity tent look. I may be doing too much. I remember having to slow down around this time last pregnancy.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I need more time. Always more time.

MH and I more or less have the same political views. It helps that we've talked about them a lot and have come to agree on most of them through discussion. I think we will both vote for the same candidate. I've avoided talking about politics with anyone except MH because everyone has a strong view that isn't necessarily well supported (even if they'll tell me I'm wrong and stupid for my choice) and my town is overwhelmingly against my voting decision.

Week/Team/Fruit: 36 weeks/B/G Twins/Cabbage Patch Dolls

Appointments this week: First NST today, OB appointment Friday

Symptoms: I am very large and there are many aches and pains that go along with that....

Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm so ready to meet these babies! I haven't been one of those people who felt super connected to them, while in utero. Like, I know they are there and growing but it's so hard for me to imagine them as actual little humans. Hopefully that doesn't make me sound too cold-hearted.

Generally speaking, me and MH share similar political views. However, this election has been particularly divisive in our household and we will not be voting for the same candidate tomorrow. Unless I am literally on the table pushing out babies, I will be at the polls!

Week/Team/Fruit: 18/tbd/sugar gliders

Appts: AS on Wednesday!!!!! Will find out the genders on Saturday at our reveal party.

Symptoms: none

RRQ: I was able to find one baby's heartbeat with my friends stethoscope a couple days ago. That was really exciting. I'm not sure I'm feeling any movement yet so probably not. I can't wait for that to start to so I can feel a little bit reassured.

GTKY: we are not political at all. We both agree that this election is a joke. I think we are leaning towards the same vote tho.

requiressnacks I feel the same way about babies in utero. I don't feel extremely connected to them yet. I'm excited to see them on ultrasound, hear heartbeats, feel movements. But I don't talk to them or anything yet. Maybe once we find out the sexes that will be different. It's hard for me to imagine who these babies will be as well.

Appointments this week: This week starts my twice weekly NST's. Not really sure if they're doing anything else during any of these appointments or not.

Symptoms: Still just a really achy pubi bone. A little predominantly but nothing horrible.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Not today!

GTKY: Do you and your partner share the same political views? For the Americans in the crowd, do you anticipate that you will both vote for the same candidate tomorrow? Basically. I honestly don't know if I'll vote tomorrow. I feel our country is screwed with either option.

Phew! I'm glad I'm not the only one.  We know the sexes and have names, but I rarely talk to them just to say hello. haha. I definitely spend more time talking with MH about them.

Week/Team/Fruit: 23 weeks/box of mac & cheese x2!

Appointments this week: lots of appts - U/S at the MFM, appt with the endo and then U/S at the OB.

Symptoms: sore, cankles, tired. felt the 1st outside kick from baby A yesterday!

everyone go and vote! you can always vote 3rd party if you don't like either candidate, but exercise your constitutional right to vote!!

requiressnacks - I don't feel super connected to these babies yet either. but I also felt the same way with DD. it freaks me out that there are humans inside of me. haha

dream2be3, requiressnacks, Here's how my NSTs worked: I reclined on the exam table with a cup of ice water and some sort of entertainment that I brought (also sometimes a snack or other drink--whatever I wanted to bring in that I could store within reach). They hooked me up to a couple of monitors held on my belly by elastic bands with the ultrasound gel stuff under them. Sometimes it was hard for them to find both babies' heart beats. There was also a monitor for contractions, which were inevitable relatively weak BH contractions. The button part is probably the most annoying since that's the only reason I had to pay attention to anything.

I had a button to push when I felt a baby (or two) move. Then the nurse would monitor the heart rates from a different room and look for some specified number and length of higher heart rates and connect them to when I thought the baby was moving. Otherwise I could have napped or gotten immersed in a book.

If the babies didn't show enough activity, sometimes the nurse would bring in a vibratey-buzzy thing to put on my belly and try to wake them up. Otherwise they'd send me to ultrasound to check on the babies that way. I don't recall ever having to go to ultrasound, though.

Note: If the ultrasound gel makes your skin itch, they may allow you to bring some other sort of gel like aloe vera gel or baby oil gel.

We share the same political views and have already voted (early voting) for the same candidate. I have voted outside my party in the past (husband would never do this), but we're 100% on the same page here.

Symptoms: Round ligament pain, sciatic pain, aversions to meat/protein

Yes, though I'm much further on our end of the spectrum than he is. It would be a deal breaker for me if we didn't agree in this particular election.

Oh heavens no. There may be one or two things that we agree on but pretty much, we are very different.

Week/Team/Fruit: 10.5w/too early to know/kumquats

Appts: next Friday. Switching OBGYNs in order to deliver at the city's best NICU, so hope I like these doctors.

Symptoms: nausea, tired, nothing sounds good to eat, some heart burn, tiny bladder

RRQ: I'm in a wear-all-the-baggy-clothes phase to try to hide the bump. I'm hoping to continue until I make it to 12 weeks.

GTKY: overall we align on candidates and issues, but we bang heads getting to that point. I play devils advocate and don't feel immediate strong ties to candidates, whereas he does. He is also more knowledgeable on politics overall than I am.

nic1231 I think I depends on the shirt, but honestly I think you can do it either way. Last pregnancy I had some with small strings that I tied in the back, and larger ribbons that I tied in the front. When I did it in the front, it was Partly bc it was cute and partly bc it's less bulky than a big bow in the back.

Appt: MFM tomorrow. It was supposed to be today...don't get me started.
Symptoms: snoring! DH mentioned it and I didn't believe him, but I woke myself up from my nap today with a loud snore so that's happening now. Achy, pukey, tired
Rant/Rave/Question: my coworker loaned me her foam mats and I've been using them to nap any time I get a cancellation. It is getting hard to make it through the day.
GTKY: we agree this election. I don't know that I'd be able to look at him the same (in this election) if we didn't. We both already voted.

My OB didn't give me a reason so I wasn't sure if it had to do with my thinning cervix or just because I'm having twins.

k/Team/Fruit: 26w 4 days/ purple

Appointments this week: U/S, doctor appt and 2nd gestational diabetes test.

Symptoms: nothing new.

Rants/Raves/Questions: anyone experience life w weight gain? Last appt doctor lectured me due to only gaining 2lbs in past month. Pretty sure I gained a pound or two this last 2 weeks but just nervous about any impact to staying lower...

GTKY - generally we align with our political views. Hopefully I am home from my work trip before my local polls closed e today. Left at 6am so not open early...guess we'll see.
