It's annual enrollment time! For the BTDT moms, I'm curious what the total cost of pregnancy, delivery, hospital fees and initial pediatrician fees you saw (total cost, not dependent upon your Healthcare plan). Also, how many days did you and your LOs spend in the hospital?
I'm trying to figure out if $20k is a reasonable estimation, assuming no significant time needed in NICU and we get to head right home. Idk if I'm totally off base or close to a good estimate. Trying to figure out which 2017 plan to choose... Anyone else?!
Okay. Woof. My grand total billed to insurance was $82,300. That was all of my OB visits, ultrasounds, MFM, two 3-day hospital stays for PTL, my 3 nights there for delivery (CS), and both kids' hospital stays while we were there (no NICU).

$9123 was our total patient responsibility, not that it really matters. But I just had to crunch all the numbers to make myself feel a little better after figuring that grand total.
I had a uncomplicated induction and vaginal delivery with epidural, but no NICU and just for that our bill was almost $22,000. That doesn't include the tons of ultrasounds I had throughout pregnancy and the girls' pediatrician visits after birth.
