trtlcrzy what brand do you have? When we were at the store looking at them back in January the salesman was showing us a drain plug on the front bottom corner of the washing machine to drain any excess water out. I don't remember if it was even Samsung or not. I want to say Kenmore because I initially looked at those. Not sure if it's a thing among all of them or not. I need to just go back in the store and look again.
Also with the front load, it seems like people love them or hate them. Issues or no issues. Doesn't seem to be much middle ground! I've heard such a mixed review. But the fact that everything is tumbled around and will be more even pushes me in that direction.

Samsung. Are you talking about this?
Mine is model # WF393BTPAWR/A2 if you want to google it specifically.

We have to replace our top loader but we're planning on another top loader - my mom has a front loader and the loads seem to go off balance and then her machine takes forever and makes more noise (like everything goes to one side or something).
When we lived in an apartment the front loader washing machines were great but also commercial quality.
I leave my washer door open if it's wet. I have had zero mold or smell issues. Ours has this thing in the bottom that the water drains out of
That looks like our with the drain. I leave the door open after I'm done using it. Ours is also nearly 6 or 7 years old.
chocolate if you want a front load get a front load! I just personally never will again, I was just wondering why you wanted one which your reasons are valid!
