I have a "work from home day" because of the election. I'll be working from home by going grocery shopping, enjoying some Starbucks, and getting a haircut.
I am so damn tired. I had to drive my H to work so that I had the car for an appointment. He is on the evening shift this week so that means I picked him up at 12am and wasnt home until 1. Drinking all the coffee this morning.
Morning! DH is a poll watcher today so it's just me and the toddler until bedtime. I really want to go vote but I don't know how to keep DS entertained if the line is long. I'm hoping that by mid-morning the lines will be shorter.
It's 10 am, and I've been to court, the post office and voted. Day is off to a productive start of visiting government buildings. Ha.
I second @renegadewhits dislike for attack ads, and will be happy to see them stop.
renegadewhit I hope you guys find a place quickly! Did you end up taking your house off the market and renting it? I hope this stress ends for you soon!
I voted absentee a few weeks ago, but I'm so glad for all the hoopla to be over. I hate attack ads in general, and there are so so many.
MH and I are going to start looking at houses again soon - hopefully we've made all the right moves to make it possible to get into a house by January. This is the biggest relief!!!
I keep meaning to ask someone: what does absentee voting mean?

My car battery is dead. DH jumped it for me this morning. It got me to work and to my meeting 40 minutes away. I didn't have time to get gas due to the delay getting to work and now my gas light is on and I don't have enough to get to the battery place at home. Waiting on AAA now and hopefully they can either fill my tank with some gas or follow me to the gas station.
Dh asked why I didn't stop to get gas earlier. I literally told him I like to make my life as difficult as possible because it was such a dumb question.
I have not voted yet. One pro to small town living is as long as I get to the polls by 3 or 4 I won't have to stand in any kind of line at all. I have never ever had to wait in line to vote.
I voted early. They just happened to have it set up when DD and I went to the library a couple of weeks ago, so I decided to go ahead and just take care of it then. I hadn't done it before, but it was convenient enough that I might seek it out in the future.
Actually had to stand in line to vote this morning, but there was a nice couple behind us, so we just chatted while we waited. We stayed up late researching all of the propositions and smaller candidates to make a cheat sheet Now I'm just exhausted.
Past that, I want to start packing things up that we won't need for the next five months. I know that sounds early, but with me pretty much guaranteed to be on bedrest in the hospital come January, and us needing to move in April.. having things pre-done is my best option for less stress.

missi my mom always votes absentee in California because there's too much research to do and remember beforehand with all the propositions. Although I wish DC had more of a voice, it is nice to have a short ballot.
Same! I just never did like the ring sling though. I never could get them comfortable.
It's going to be my first time using one w this LO, I didn't baby wear until DS was about 3-4 months w my Lille baby and then later w a woven wrap (which has been turned into the ring sling cuz it was just too much fabric to haul around lol) Now I have the ring sling and a gifted moby wrap to try and I'm sooo excited!
