It's a new day. I'm trying to feel more positive. Yesterday was just too hard on me. I've cleaned up my news feed and am ridding myself of the negative energy.
Also, I will force myself to go to the gym tonight. I was supposed to go last night but had a hard time getting off the couch. Someone make me go tonight.
I just saw an article on voter turnout, and it was low. 43% didn't vote. I get there's a population within that who chose not to vote based on not being able to reconcile with either candidate, but still, that's unfortunately low.
more daycare expense questions... I could google, but I'm really not feeling it ATM.
Anything we pay above the 5k in the spending account can be deducted from our taxable income, right? Assuming there's not an income cap.
No. there's a daycare tax credit. You have to either do the FSa or take the credit. You have to see what income bracket you're in to see which is worth more.

Thanks, I remember turbo tax asking me about daycare expenses, but we never used it so my parents didn't have to report the income.
Maybe that sub group is larger than I realize, just read that 14 states had more people vote for senate races than the presidential race
I can understand this. Local and congressional races affect you more than presidential usually. But, you're already in the booth, just pick the one that most closely aligns with you. I don't get not voting at all.
And whenever someone tries to have a political conversation with me and they tell me they don't vote:
You are not to talk about politics and change if you're not at the very least going to cast a ballot.

Talk to me about home prep for selling a house... I've never done it before and I'm not sure where to begin, also what do you think the average is as far as selling?

hmm... so I'm reading the IRS website. It sounds like you can still claim a credit even if you have the spending account; you can't double dip by claiming the pre-tax dollars, but anything beyond that up to 3k would be eligible. This is an example from the IRS, am I reading this wrong? Example 2.
Randall is married and both he and his wife are employed. Each has earned income in excess of $6,000. They have two children, Anne and Andy, ages 2 and 4, who attend a daycare facility licensed and regulated by the state. Randall's work-related expenses are $6,000 for the year.
Randall's employer has a dependent care assistance program as part of its cafeteria plan, which allows employees to make pre-tax contributions to a dependent care flexible spending arrangement. Randall has elected to take the maximum $5,000 exclusion from his salary to cover dependent care expenses through this program.
Although the dollar limit for his work-related expenses is $6,000 (two or more qualifying persons), Randall figures his credit on only $1,000 of the $6,000 work-related expense paid. This is because his dollar limit is reduced as shown next.

@mrscatfarmer it's the $3000 tax credit or $5000 FSA in your situation. If you have two kids you can do a $6000 tax credit, but if you have a $5000 FSA you can also claim a $1000 tax credit (so you get the full six). Does that make sense?
babylove518 - I put DS down 30 min. ago, and he's throwing a party in the crib. He will literally nap for everyone but me.
Poor mama! Have you tried experimenting with different times? It really sounds like one of the cases of him acting different around other people compared to how he acts at home. DD does it too. She wakes up multiple nights a week for us, but stays with SIL and she will STTN every damn time.

I've tried earlier and later. When I know he'll totally fall asleep is like 4 - 5PM, but that's just way too late at that point, when he goes to bed for the night at 7:30.
Made it and it ended up being a great day for the zoo! Big kid walked 95% of the time and I put Z in the Tula the rest of the time. Now hopefully I can transfer them both to bed.

Ok, it's clicking now. This is what I get for trying to figure out if the credit or FSA would be the better deal. On the bright side, it looks like Turbotax automatically calculates what you can claim when you have the FSA so I'm trying to figure out stuff I don't really need to know...

I'd start my looking at zillow.com to see what houses in your area that are similar to your's have sold for. Then when you're ready, call a realtor to come in and give you some advice and some comps. They'll recommend a list price, but ultimately, it's up to you.
As far as actual home prep, move as much stuff out as possible, but leave your furniture in. Take down anything super personal on the wall like pictures of A, and try to have the decor as neutral as possible.
I felt really sick yesterday, but it might have had more to do with the election than the pregnancy. I'm actually feeling pretty good today. I'm only 5w6d
I'm so sick of being sick. I've felt nauseous almost non stop the last 2 days.
How are the other preggos feeling?
5 +2 over here. I've had that stitch in my side which is still hanging out, but less noticeable. I've had pretty much nonstop abdominal aches the last two days, nothing I would call awful. And if I don't eat regularly I get nauseous. Last time I didn't get sick until about six weeks, but then it was throwing up 15 times a day, so I hope no bypass that this time.
