The better deal depends on your income. The amount of the tax credit is dependent on your income (20-35%). You would have to calculate what you wouldn't be paying in tax if you do FSA and compare to what the credit would be. The max credit for one kid is $1,050 (or could be $600 depending on income). You would need to compare it to your FSA tax savings (ex. If your tax bracket is 25% then you are better off doing FSA since you avoid paying $1250 in taxes).

chrispy1122 - did your company send out an email with regards to safety?
this just came over:
In anticipation of a verdict being handed down later this afternoon in the trial of the UC police officer Ray Tensing, we encourage you to work the rest of the day from home. Please listen to news reports and use your judgement to decide if you should also work remotely tomorrow.
As you leave the building today, be especially vigilant about your surroundings and exercise particular caution in the area of the courthouse.

The FSA is the better deal for us, it just wasn't registering that the 3k allowance is taken from the 5k FSA after I read the publication.

Thank you.
Wow, no we didn't get anything. Thanks for letting me know.
Yikes about downtown. I hope there no rioting if he's found innocent. I personally think a manslaughter charge would be appropriate.
From what I've seen and heard, I agree that the manslaughter charge is the appropriate one. However, I would like the details on the whole confederate flag shirt thing. Was he wearing that under his uniform when he stopped DuBoise? What was the explanation? The implications of wearing that seem obvious to me. What did they say about it at trial?
He claims he wears old black tshirts under his uniform because they get sweaty. It was given to him by a cousin as an old shirt. He didn't pay attention to what was on it.
The truth is probably not that he didn't know what was on it but that it didn't matter because no one was going to see it.
They did say he stopped several people for plates that day. This was business as usual in the area around Clifton. The question is whether he overreacted to the situation because of the guys race or if he legitimately felt his life was threatened at the instant he pulled the trigger. I don't think we can know that. It sucks that we can't know if he was a racist but idk how you prove that beyond doubt.
That case in Baltimore where they threw the guy around the truck and caused a spinal chord injury- now that was murder beyond a reasonable doubt. Or at least intent to cause major bodily harm but not intent to kill.
Wow I need to update myself, I thought the verdict was going to be made yesterday, was it? Off to the news...
becole I'm doing unisom at night but I'm sporadic, I'm having a lot of trouble getting pills down right now. When I took it the first night I thought it helped even the next morning for a bit.

mom2boxers I can't remember, did you take the combo? Did you take it during the day and notice drowsiness?
You didn't ask me, but I took it and it made me a little drowsy. I tried to just take at night. And at the risk of sounding like a weirdo, I have a bunch leftover if you wanted to try a few if you will be there tomorrow. Technically expired since the default is a year from fill date, but I can't imagine they are no longer effective. Let me know.
