My company doesn't give Veteran's Day off. But we WFH on Fridays, so next best thing? H is currently rotating at the VA so he has the day off and is home with me. We're about to finish putting up some shelves in-between my conference calls.

I've never worked for a company that had Veterans Day as a holiday. Same with MLK Day and Presidents Day.
MH should be finding out today whether or not he got a promotion at work. It's only 9:30 here, but every time my phone makes a noise I get all anxious. Hopefully they don't make him wait until the end of the day to tell him, I don't think my nerves can handle that.
I didn't get veteran's day off until I switched to being a state employee. I learned Wednesday that not all of us have off and that it's part of our union contract what holidays we get each other
I have billed 0.0 hours so far today and I have no fucks to give.
I'm so incredibly tired. My eyelids have that heavy/burning feeling like when you have only gotten a couple hours of sleep, even though I slept from like 10:30-7 last night and only got up once to pee. Actually, I guess it was more like 10:30-6, since H's alarm was going off every 9 minutes from 6 until he finally got his lazy ass up and stopped snoozing at 7. He makes me so angry with that shit. Anyway.
I hope everyone is having a nice day. I just finished eating a Boston cream cronut that my nanny picked up for me from Dunkin and it was incredible. It's not helping with my overwhelming desire to take a nap though!

I will gladly eat all of your pie, cake and frosting. Except for store cake whipped cream frosting, that is nasty. Hell, I like frosting better than the cake most of the time.
Except I can't eat any of the above right now due to the damn diabetus. Whomp whomp.
15 minutes of work left and then I might go to Target? I dunno.
