I know this is early but I am going stir crazy so I am trying to find some activities I can do inside to keep me occupied and get off the couch.
So other than walks, which it is way to cold for here, does anyone have suggestions for exercise? Or that I shouldn't do at 3 wks? Any videos or what not you have used?
Again I am not talking getting in shape necessarily just more for my sanity than my physical fitness.
I was just thinking about this same topic. It's so cold here so walking outside is a no go and driving all the way to a mall to walk just isn't in the cards most days. I have some beachbody workout dvds I used to do all the time, like Turbojam and Turbofire that have modified exercises people can do. I think I'm going to start doing one of those workouts a day. Maybe some light strength training. I'm not going to do any ab stuff yet until I talk with my doctor (4 weeks past c section so I'm thinking abs should wait a while) and will obviously stop working out if it is too much for me. I had a very easy recovery from the surgery so I'm hoping I will be ok!
I"m so sick of sitting on the couch. I'm losing all motivation to do anything! My fitbit is logging 3000 steps a day. That is pretty damn pathetic.
I plan on just walking until I'm 5-6 weeks out. My doctor did tell me that i could start lifting my toddler again after 3 weeks, so I'm also guessing that light strength training would probably be ok. With DD1, getting fresh air outside every day was an absolute life saver. This all depends on how my birth goes, of course. I've still got an inside baby but am already planning my return to physical activity.
I wish I could go for walks but single digits and negative windchill is just a no go
I was thinking about this too. I want to at least start stretching. My muscles are getting all cramped. I'm not sure if it's nursing in the bed or hanging on the couch but my back is getting off too.

I have pinterested a few restorative abdominal exercises and try to do those once a day-- but I agree, would love to do some power walking or a bootcamps, or even a spin class-- but heaven knows my vagina is not ready to sit on a bike seat!

I was just thinking all of this too. Friday was the first time LO and I went on a walk outside. I really miss my jeans! The 4 Oreos and dr pepper the kids just gave me as a v-day snack probably didn't help
