obi thanks for the info on low blood sugar. I think that happened to me today- I suddenly started sweating, felt shaky and had heart palpations. I just ate something, and now I feel fine but just like I need a nap. I've never had a reaction like that to being hungry so I'm glad to hear heart palpations can be low blood sugar.
No problem! The shakiness is a very common symptom. I usually just down some juice or a pop. Milk is good as well but will work a bit slower (your body works on the fats before the sugars, basically). Itd be a good idea to keep some juice and a granola bar with you just in case.

My friend is good she does have to wait for the liver function lab results but other labs were normal and they did an ultrasound, her baby girl is head down and doing well! She has a MW appt tomorrow so if anything comes up again she can mention it.
This definitely pushed her to pack her hospital bag haha just in case! She was having timeable contractions while she was in L&D being monitored so she has a feeling she might not make it to her due date, we'll see
At today's appointment they couldn't find baby girl's heartbeat on the Doppler. They escorted me over to the ultrasound room, kicked out the poor girl who was undressed/waiting for a vaginal ultrasound, and let me cut in front of the line (the girl's OB wasn't going to be ready for another 5-10+ minutes because she was still with the patient ahead of her). Luckily baby girl showed up immediately, with a heartbeat and kicking away. She was apparently just as far low as she could go, and the OB was using the Doppler around my belly button.
Also, apparently the MFM told my OB they want me in for a fetal echo-cardiogram. Not sure why, since at the A/S they said they saw no markers, and would not recommend further testing.
So behind, but just saw this. We are scheduled for an echo-cardiogram too. My doctor said it is common practice for IVF babies because there has been evidence of higher heart risks. I can't remember if you did IVF too, but that may be the reason. We were able to see all four chambers and everything looked fine earlier, but the doctor said they wait until the heart is further developed and then do the echo just to be aware of any potential issues before birth. Mine is on Monday so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully we'll both just be getting an extra look at our little ones and all will go smoothly.
. I totally understand. The doctors get so caught up in their routines that they forget to explain things clearly. I had to ask about it before it was explained why the echo was being scheduled. I know it's routine for them, but they need to remember how scary this stuff can sound without proper explanation.
