Morning! Pretty low key day at my house. This morning we are just hanging out and this afternoon my sister is coming over to watch the girls while I go to the doctor. I've been having pain in my right groin when I lift S in her carseat. It can get bad enough to the point I limp, so I figure it's probably time to get checked out.

Morning! We had to drive H to work because his car is in the shop. Now we're home. Might go for a walk later. This afternoon I'm meeting a lady to buy her megablocks for Christmas. It's up by some stores I've been wanting to go to but haven't felt like driving, so maybe we'll stop there if my little friend cooperates!

We have a park date with a friend this afternoon, Ryan did daycare this morning and it was pretty good, we are currently eating avocado toast and pizza. I'll let you work out who is having what...

Mmmm avocado toast. I never have avocados on hand when I crave this!

Welp, DS has HFM. So FML. And lots of other abbreviations. Involving F words. He's not really bothered but I had to call out of work for the night because I'm keeping him home. And I'm trying to keep him away from L. That's going well. She's a finger sucker so I feel like we are doomed.

I've been hit in the face with a foot while nursing about 10 times in the last 5 minutes. If he's not flinging his foot in my face, he's rubbing it all over my other boob. Thanks?

Oh, no! So sorry about the HFM leahks77! Sending lots of germ containment vibes your way.
I think I just pumped for the last time and will be done with breastfeeding by the end of the week. It's like my boobs have made the decision for me and are just done producing milk. It actually works quite well for me, and L could probably care less, it's the emotional aspects I need to get past.
We got our family photos back today! I looooove most of them. I'm not happy with the way I look in them, but that's no shocker. I'll post a few when I get more time.

Oh no! I hope no one else gets it and it's a mild case for him.

S has been pushing her feet against my arm. Sorry that won't come off kid.
I registered for 3 classes and I'm meeting with an advisor this afternoon to hopefully get approval for the 4th. It's A&P, which I've already taken but I want it to be more current and I want all my prereqs to be As. Two of the classes are in the evening and the other two are MWF so I'll have to find 3 day a week daycare for the kids. I also found out I need to retake the GRE 😩 I keep reminding myself the end justifies the means. I'm panicky about the costs but I know our income will triple when I finish. My dream/reach school is in a city my H could transfer to with his company. I'm really hoping that's a sign.

I think I'm having some kind of hormone disruption. Maybe DS didn't nurse as well over the weekend while we were gone? Woke up with headaches 2 days in a row and my sex drive has suddenly made a dramatic reappearance after going missing for the past 9 months. I have mixed feelings about this development.
Also, is nap limiting actually a thing? I've read about it on another board but do people actually do that? I ask bc DS took a very long nap this am which I didn't think was a big deal due to our crappy sleep over the weekend but then he took almost an hour to fall asleep for his afternoon nap (I was starting to think it wasn't going to happen).

Are you talking like limiting the amount of time they sleep in the morning nap so that they can do their afternoon nap? Because I totally do that. I like to keep our afternoon nap at 1:00 for sake of both children going down. So depending on when DD goes down for her morning nap, I don't let her sleep past 10:30-11 (11 at the very latest because then she wouldn't be tired enough by 1). Basically I'll let her sleep 45 min-ish in the morning and wake her. I prefer her to do a longer afternoon nap, and it works better for her as far as not being so tired waaaay before bed time.

Also, it's likely he did it due to being tired from your traveling. But DD was making a habit of it, so I do it to make our days go better. She's fine with it. And actually, she's taking shorter morning naps on her own as she's getting closer to not needing one so bad.
I just made C a grilled cheese. I brought it to him where he's cuddled on the couch watching a show (sick day treats). He said "thanks for cooking mama, that looks delicious!" Omg I love this kid. Lately flashes of how sweet he can be come through his 3yo a-holeishness.
I wish my kid would nap long enough for me to consider waking him up intentionally, haha. I think he's just destined to be a catnapper forever.
Hunting season starts tomorrow in MI so I'm basically solo parenting for the rest of the week. I'm just crossing all of my crossables that nobody gets sick.

Topping off my super wholesome breakfast with Sonic since baby asleep in car after 9 month check up. What super gourmet food should I have for dinner? Taco Bell? Hamburger helper?

I just spent an hour shopping for Christmas presents, got to check out, and my debit card was nowhere to be found. This is not the first or even second time this has happened since X was born. I used to be so organized. So we have to go back tonight.
Also: home goods has lots of M&d puzzles for $7, Green Toys trucks and such for 9-16, Hape, and Plan.

piperhalliwell, I can't wait to see them! I hate the way I look in all of our family photos, too. No one else spends as much time staring at you as you do, though. I'm sure they're all beautiful!
leahks77, sorry for HFM. Hope it passes quickly. Also: can you make me a grilled cheese too?
DD1 had preschool this morning so I took the other two grocery shopping. Then she got invited over for a play date after school so I got 3 hours of down time while the other two napped. They're waking up and she's about to come home. But it was a wonderful 3 hours!
