It was a busy weekend for us. I got some one-on-one time with DD1 Saturday morning doing a craft together at Michael's. Then in the afternoon I took the babies out to do some shopping sans toddler (there were a few last things I needed to pick up for her for Christmas).
Yesterday we spent the day at my in-laws and met their new puppy so it was a later night.
Today we had a play date at the park to enjoy the beautiful weather we've been having. We ended up staying for 2.5 hours!
Dropped DD at daycare this morning. Just for a half day though since she has her ENT appointment today.
I also got my hair cut today. New stylist so it looks a little different but I like it. I decided to get bangs again.
I hope her appt goes well!
I think it went well. He said that her right ear is clear but the left side has fluid again. He's going to see us again in 3 weeks, and if she still has an infection, they'll schedule her for tubes. Especially since we're heading into cold and flu season and she might continue to get ear infections
Sorry about the sickness leahks77! I hope he can keep it to himself somehow.
trtlcrzy how was the appt? Did they figure out what's causing the pain?
Thanks for asking. The doctor thinks it might be an inflamed/strained muscle. She wants me to take ibuprofen 2x a day, sleep with a pillow between my legs and try to only lift the car seat with my left arm. I'm supposed to do that for a couple weeks and then if that's not helping we will move onto pt or something.

we went to the big city (2h away) this past weekend. I am wiped. It wasn't too bad but all the eating out (although delicious) was expensive. G didn't sleep so great and basically didn't nap all weekend so she has been sleeping a ton since getting home last night.
her second tooth finally broke through so she is a little less cranky
we had a mini xmas session for her and she was so cute. but didn't know what to do with a big poofy dress on. will have to see how those photos come back. Now i feel like I am antsy waiting on photos from all the photographers. haha. Our extended family photos should be finished this week some time too.

lilrubberduckie I am waiting on tenterhooks for our Christmas picture. They should be ready any time so I am checking my e-mail way more frequently than is healthy.

I saw you were tagged in one photo where she had striped pants/leggings on? It was so cute!
The kids and I had a pretty good day. Got my foam tiles down and moved the toy box from a different area of the house. Except now H is having a heart attack about it and threatening to move it. He's so anal about the damn wood floor, he might as well rope it off. It's dumb. It's a 2nd living room on our main floor, an area we never step foot in so it's such a waste of space. I feel like I will be showing him who's boss. Besides, I'm protecting the floor (and the kids) with the tiles, duh.
This evening DS had hockey. He's loving it. He's definitely the littlest body out there, but there's many other kids who are on the same or below his skating skill level. He just seems so tiny out there. And bless the coaches for wrangling 30 little tots out there. It's so cute to watch.

chocolate they used to bring out the really little hockey players during intermission in the NHL games here sometimes (maybe they still do but I have not attended one in years). It was so adorable watching the little pack of them chasing the puck with periodic wipe-outs.
After supper tonight I was hanging out and playing with S and noticed she felt slightly warm. So I checked her temp and sure enough 100.5. I gave her some Motrin to see if that will help. Her left eye is looking red, I hope it doesn't become pink eye.

chocolate , eyelashedviper , that was one of the outfits. i think they are called "doodle pants" we kept trying to get her to stand up so we could see the santa on the bum. i wonder if she got a pic of it. these were the two outfits
these pants with a white onesie
this dress with red knitted tights and a white half sweater SaveSave
lilrubberduckie ahh yes we have a pair of those. Ours are the Izzy & Owie brand. We have a pink striped pair with a cupcake on the butt. I keep seeing the Doodle pants on zulily and have been tempted to order a Christmas pair! Amazon has a bunny pair I'm saving on a list for Easter!

I got them on Zulily! they have lots of room for her to grow too. (although i doubt she will wear them next year) I have debated getting another pair in a different print but she has so many clothes already, it is crazy.
ETA: they are size small. she is currently 28" and not super chubby, they have lots of stretch in legs, and are more than long enough, with at least another couple inches. SaveSave
Ahh! I knew there had to be something like it in the USA, haha SaveSave
Of *COURSE* the US has something like it.
We also have these in a breakfast version: it's a pancake wrapped around sausage. Do you have THOSE? They serve them to students in low income schools, because pancake corndog > no breakfast. (Also, I ate so many of them while pregnant and teaching. That was maybe my one I'd-never-eat-this-any-other-time food).

i don't think we do. i will have to check the frozen section next time i go to the store.
but i might not be a good representation, i live in a very small town and we don't have much variety. when i go to the big city for something it is normally a specific thing, so if i am not looking for it i might not see it. SaveSave
H loves corndogs. She eats them for lunch frequently. rivers and roads I got the breakfast ones for her and she wasn't a fan so I had to eat them. They actually aren't half bad.

I'm a firm believer in any food you can put on a stick. Sticks make food at least twice as good.

+1
One of the many reasons I love renaissance festivals. Lots and lots of food on sticks.

Why do you think Wisconsin has the best summer fairs?
