notagoddess, I made a list of things that I would need to grab (that I used regularly) before I left for the hospital and kept it with the bag of things I could pack ahead of time. It's not a bad idea to have some things written down - imo - because you never know how you're going to be feeling/reacting when you're in the moment. At least that's how I felt as a FTM. In reality, I went into labor at 5:30 in the morning, but felt fine enough to make a couple freezer meals, chop and freeze some carrots for soup, etc. and could have packed my entire bag a million times before 5:30 pm when I actually started feeling real contractions. You just never know!
+1 to never knowing what will happen. My water broke at midnight and I was gushing all over the place. It would have made it more stressful and messy to be trying to pack up stuff with that going on. Travel toiletries were my little treat.

I totally forgot to add this to my list, but I'm mentioning here for pats on the back LOL Today I went through and sorted all my pump parts. I have a Medela double-electric and a swing. I also sanitized all the parts! And bagged them! And sanitized Dr. Brown bottles and parts!
FYI if you can afford it, I loved my swing for travel. It's small, powerful, and easy to use. I'd nurse J on one side and pump the other. That single pump along with one small cooler bag was all I needed for family weekend away. No carrying a huge double-electric plus bottles and stuff. The swing was a gift and so useful/wonderful!

Left to do: Hang nursery art. Sterilize pump parts. Decide if we want newborn photos. Pre-fill other timekeeping paperwork. Decide on a name!
Done: Clear bookcase, tables, chest, bed, and decorations from guest room. Move changing dresser and wardrobe into guest room. Assemble crib. Buy crib protector sheet and crib skirt. Buy new bottles/nipples. Buy new bf cover. My old one is ratty! Buy newborn diapers. Confirm w/family about DD care while we're at the hospital. Pack DD overnight bag. Turn in FMLA paperwork.
oldbaylover1024 I had to stare at that outfit for longer than I'd like to admit because I thought you wrote that it was YOUR going home outfit. I was trying to understand the moose theme. Looks adorable and comfy!!!

Since I'm a caboose, I'm preparing myself to feel like I'll be pregnant forever while all you ladies are giving birth. Lol. I keep having to remind myself that I'm not 36 weeks pregnant

My goal for today is to vacuum the car and install the baby bucket base. I also unzipped Ks car seat cover to wash, and took it out so I can vacuum. After this all that I need is DH to pack his bag and install the base in his truck and we are ready!

staz - my goal is pretty much the same as yours although I'm trying to get a lot of it done today since I work all weekend. I just wrote out my list for the hospital bag.

We aren't going to be able to do all the things on my list... haha! Depending on how I'm feeling, I might work on the upstairs hallway, but it's so not important. I'm now just hoping to decorate the nursery and get all the sewing projects done for the nursery. I just bought material to make changing pad covers as well. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!?

I hope to organize the baby's closet and dresser so I can put away all the baby shower and registry completion stuff. My mom is coming to help me figure out what to do with the closet. I bought lots of baby clothes hangers to prepare.
We also have an all-day infant care class at the hospital, and I need to pack a hospital bag.
Basically, baby has to hold off another weekend if I want everything done.

You guys... the PnP is assembled in our bedroom, my clothes are washed and ready to go, I packed my bag (basically)... I even scheduled bill payments so I don't have to worry about them later.
Cue slight freak out that this is ACTUALLY happening this week!

Well, I'm done with everything except finding a backup for child care, which I don't need to do before baby's here. In addition to my initial list, I want to:
-Get a haircut, nails and brows done -Call department stores about a newborn photo session -Do our taxes -Keep the house as clean as possible -Enjoy the last few weeks of being just a couple

Mop the rest of the downstairs 6. Finish hanging pictures in F's room 7. Start my tomato and pepper seeds 8. Finish setting up the porch as the toy room 9. Install car seats 10. 2 more freezer meals 11. Put away winter decorations and get out spring
