TMI post ahead - my period is about to start any second, and literally EVERYTHING in my body hurts. My muscles are sore, my boobs hurt, my back hurts, and I almost passed out from a cramp this morning. I used to get super sick when I was much younger, went on the pill, and that seemed to fix things. Then I was fine while we were trying for DS, but ever since my D & C I feel like things are worse. Ugh. I need to make an appointment for my annual anyway, so I guess this should just motivate me to do that and talk to my doctor.
On the bright side, DS slept really well last night and was still snoozing when I left the house, so I got an early jump to work, it's nice and quiet here for me to enjoy my coffee, and beef stew is already in the crock pot, so dinner is done when I get home!

Today would have been the due date for my friend's twins. So we're all going over there after work. I'm bringing dinner, wine, and ice cream, and a wrote a candle lighting ceremony we can all take part in.

I woke up to B walking around her room. So, apparently she climbs out of her crib now... crap.
I then proceeded to give DD1 the wrong plate, wrong cup, and wrong colour of vitamin at breakfast time, prompting major meltdowns. Gosh I'm a terrible mom.

We have a lunch meeting today so I get to leave the office for 1.5hr AND eat a delicious lunch! Very excited. It's a bagel sandwich/soup place and I'm already looking at the menu online to pick what I want. Yum.
I've just been on a searching for Christmas gifts tear lately. It hasn't even been winter like yet this month (very unusual, but I see on the weather network that it's on its way soon!) but so many people have heir Christmas lights on now that Remembrance Day is over and I am feelin the love!

I am in the office today and we have a meeting with a large client. I am also coordinating volunteering at a military luncheon being held Friday by one of the local builder associations. Since we have a base here that is a training center it's a bunch of young kids that can't go home for the holiday. The design firm I work for is donating and decorating a 12ft tree for the lobby of the Children's Hospital the week after Thanksgiving. I'm super excited about that one. It will be hard to see all the sick kiddos but I know they will love getting in to the Christmas spirit!
jillywilly just finished my period and I have all of the commiseration. My endo symptoms are getting much worse with every period, even on the pill. I can imagine after the D&C that your body will be more sensitive. I think it's worth mentioning to the doctor when you go.
ETA: also you reminded me that I forgot to put our dinner in the crockpot. Now I have to cook tonight.
I actually used to suspect that I had endo just based on comparing symptoms with a friend who had it a long time ago. When they did all the tests at the RE, they never mentioned it, but I've also heard it can be difficult to diagnose, and with a male IF diagnosis, it made the leap to IVF pretty automatic for us anyway. I'll definitely be talking to my doc again soon, though. I wish I could just go back on the pill, but alas, wanting another kid trumps that.
Also, sorry you have to cook, but at least now you'll have another night you don't have to. Silver lining, right?

So DS' day care has had a whooping cough outbreak - eight confirmed cases in the preschool room, and because of that, they're cancelling the Thanksgiving feast they had planned for lunch tomorrow with parents, to try and limit exposure/germs coming into the center, and crossing rooms with siblings. I get why they're doing it, but I'm really bummed out - I was really looking forward to it
We put our Christmas lights up on Saturday. Tree will be going up in a couple weeks when mh gets back. Can't wait!
Just got my new luggage in the mail today! Knowimg that they are for our trip, it's super exciting. I actually can't wait to start packing lol why is our trip so far away....tiffbot you better be giving some trip updates so I can live through you in the meantime
Woohoo! So exciting! We're down to just over a month before the real countdown can begin, ahh!

I really don't care if people are decorating their houses early (though I'm steadfast on holding off till Thanksgiving), but what's driving me crazy this year is walking by a house with Christmas lights on, but then they still have pumpkins on the porch. I swear, I've seen at least 3-4 houses in my neighborhood with some mix of fall and Christmas. If you're going to Christmas early, fine, but commit to it and go 100% Christmas, none of this half and half crap.

DD and I went shopping for and packed an Operation Christmas Child box today. She "helped" me wrap the box and there is approximately half a roll of tape stuck randomly all over it.
Really, though, if the last couple weeks has put you in a funk, I recommend doing this. Doing something to help others always cheers me up.

sugarkissed, DS learned how to do that last week...uugghhhhhhh it is the worst. Now I am constantly paranoid he will climb out in the mornings before we get up. (Less concerned at night because it is dark lol)
