Age/Grade: turns 7 in January
What sports/extra curriculars does your big kid like/play/do? L doesn't mind hiking, he was in karate for awhile and baseball but those didn't stick. I think next year we will try soccer
Do you do volunteering/service activities with your big kid? I would like to someday but we just don't have time these days.
Did your big kid have any feels about the election? He really wanted Hillary to win and was upset she didnt
How has school been the past few weeks? We are slowly making progress on his reading and writing. He responds well to incentive charts so we have one where after he reads 11 books he gets to buy one new book that is under $4-5.

@boxerific H wants to get L into boy scouts next year. This year we had no time for anything. I am kind of ho hum about the idea mainly because I didn't have a great experience in Girl Scouts.
I totally forgot the QOTW! My mom and my brother are coming down for Thanksgiving. My mom is bringing a turkey and my brother is bringing broccoli from his research study (he works in the Agriculture dept of the University of KY). We will buy the stuff to make sides and stuff when my mom gets here on Monday.
What sports/extra curriculars does your big kid like/play/do? He is currently taking a baking class and in Dec he will start basketball. He is very excited, this is his first organized sport.
Do you do volunteering/service activities with your big kid? When I volunteer at the soup kitchen he comes with me, he helps dry dishes and put them away.
Did your big kid have any feels about the election? Nope
How has school been the past few weeks? Good until they announced that his class is getting a new teacher. These 2 women are just switching positions, it seems so odd to me and I'm not sure how it will go. Fynn is usually very go with the flow about these things but he did get mildly upset about the situation when we told him.
QOTW: What are your Thanksgiving plans? We always head up to New Hampshire, some of us do a 5k Turkey tent and this year we are going to hike up a local mountain (Long Island hiking is so flat!).
