Hey ladies...

NO I don't have a picture yet! But I have a work baby shower so I will try and get one then. How is everyone doing great I hope! Lets see those bumps and what is going on in your world today?

Other than my baby shower...man I got the fruit and raisin oatmeal at mcdonalds...why did it taste like heaven..and then I drank my raspberry leaf tea and hated life. lol Pregnant lady issues.

This big girl says "hey!" She had her 2 week appointment yesterday and has officially surpassed her birth weight, she weighed 5lbs 15oz yesterday!

I'm at work, per usual. We're going to get our car seat bases checked out this afternoon, so I'm looking forward to that. Hoping DH did a decent job since I kind of threw it at him last minute to put them in our cars. Oops...

Also caved and picked up another pair of maternity leggings the other day after the 'pants too tight' incident. So comfy...

mrsp121308, omg the cuteness!!!!!!!! Is she in preemie clothes or newborn? When I was finishing our hospital bag last night, I came across some of G's preemie clothes and it seems impossible that any baby would even fit into those, let alone my beast!

WineNChocolate - I had a mixed berry greek parfait for breakfast... (sadly no Mcds around here though) so good... I love the crunchy granola. I'd actually like to learn to make some!

My mom and my MIL are coming over to clean today.... kinda funny, considering I'll be "working" and will be parking my butt on the couch and they'll be cleaning. Lol. But I'm so grateful! I'll also try to take a picture at some point today - considering it may be my last!

hmr11913, she's still in preemie stuff. I tried putting a newborn outfit on her the other day and it was SO big. We also are still using preemie diapers, she's just so skinny and narrow waisted.

That's funny you ask! You aren't the first. Right now we aren't shortening it, but if we do....I've deemed Gia an acceptable nn.

This was already discussed with my weirdo BIL who tried calling her GiGi. A name I'm not fond of and also the name of my sister's cat. I literally had to tell him to use her real name or he couldn't hold her. It was so weird.

Nicknames....... those are hard. G's middle name also starts with a G, so people always asked if we were going to call her "GG" also... or some people call her "Gem" which we also don't call her.... haha. She's SUCH a doll.... those little lips!

I found that too!  We went to Target when they were still in the NICU and they had almost nothing.  I'm glad we didn't buy too much though, they are starting to outgrow their preemie stuff already!  It makes me sad to start packing clothes away already.

Half-way through the week! I went and got my hair trimmed yesterday and the lady basically did a full wash and blow out for me for the same price as a trim(finally this pregnancy is getting handy!). It was so nice and the scalp massage was amazing. I didn't sleep great last night and I just want to go back to bed.

Did any of the moms with outside babies feel a little sad packing up their maternity clothes?? (I'm still in mat leggings and pants, but I started packing away my work clothes)

I like legit cried. And I didn't even like being pregnant all that much.

requiressnacks, totally adorable! And I would not allow anyone to call her gigi either - how weird! I hate that enough when people use it as a nn for grandma.

I'll admit to getting super pissed off that everyone on my DH's side of the family refers to our dog as 'Maggie May' over and over and over again. I have corrected them, but it just doesn't sink in and DH doesn't understand why it pisses me off so much. Her name is Maggie Doodle! Ha ha, oh the fun we'll have with nn's for our daughter if I'm that sensitive over our dog's name!

P.S. These same people refer to my cat as "Winnie the Pooh." Again, on repeat. FML. She is named after Winnifred Sanderson.

Alright I'll shut up now, really went down a path with that one, had to get it all out

requiressnacks, I'm not one that feels awesome about their self during pregnancy, I get so swollen towards the end I just want it to be over... but I will admit that after I had G I missed the feeling of having her inside roll around, her kicks, etc.... rubbing my belly. Granted, I LOVED having her on the outside too... but I can relate! I'm sure that I'll feel the same way this time around too. I remember being in the hospital after I had her and I kept putting my hand on my belly, expecting to feel her but not. LOL. It's a weird mix of emotions.

I'm in L&D for testing because of my blood pressure. I'm 75% sure I'll be going back home in a few hours, but this waiting blows. Also, my tv doesn't turn on and I dint have my phone charger. First world problems are rough!

We're still in the hospital- as expected, Nora's bilirubin levels (jaundice) came back elevated. Her sister had terrible jaundice as a newborn so we were expecting the same here, we were just waiting for official confirmation.

Her levels last night were 9.2 and only rose to 10.5 this morning. She is still over a full point below the light therapy threshold. The pediatrician here wants us to test her again at 4pm and see how her levels are reacting and go from there- If she continues below or on the threshold, we can go home tonight. If she rises, she'll be under the bili-lights overnight.

It's all a wait and see game from here- please cross your fingers for us at 4pm

Just ordered some nursing-friendly tops from the Gap. I had some "Thank You" points and cashed those in for a $50 gift card so my shirts only cost $6. Sweet!

Also decided to take a day off next week for my son's preschool singing performance. I love being a working mom and am very lucky to have a flexible work environment where I can just attend his school things and check my Blackberry, but they need parents to help with the kids and I just want to enjoy this one without being available. And then I'll only have three weeks left of work!

harfamilyof3, she is SO cute - I am loving all the hats you guys have picked out for your little princesses. G had pretty bad jaundice also when she was 2 days old... so we were stuck there for 4. She was under the lights for a full day and night and was only able to come out to nurse (although they did leave her in our room still, which was nice)... I hope that you guys are able to get good results this afternoon!

requiressnacks, with DD1 I was terribly sad to pack away my maternity clothes- it'll be worse this time I'm sure b/c we aren't planning on having any more kids. Part of my problem is I maternity clothes- they are super comfortable....not gonna lie, there are some maternity shirts that didn't look maternity that never got taken out of my wardrobe.
