I've been up since 6 because I was starving. I solved the problem with a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie and it was awesome. Sipping coffee now waiting on ds to wake up. We are supposed to get donuts but we will see.

It's cold here! It was on the 70s yesterday so I wasn't expecting it when I took the dog out this morning.
A local high school dropped off bags to donate to the food pantry, so this led me to clean out our pantry last night. I need to make something with all the dried beans I have on hand. Maybe I'll make chili.

moutonrouge November weather arrived in IN overnight after being in the low 70s yesterday. I'm going to regret saying this, but I'm kind of ready for it.
Cold here this morning, too. H likes the change of season, I do not. I would be totally happy to never see snow again! We're headed to brunch with friends this morning...not the same without a mimosa, but they have delicious pop tarts as a consolation prize!
Making my thanksgiving grocery list! Trying to get that done before heading to the OB at 9:45 so we can go right after. It's going me so gross weather wise tomorrow - windy and snow so I would like to get it all today!

Today's my mom's birthday! We're celebrating with her after a bit of cajoling. She's the worst about any fuss being made, the turkey.
I'll need to get groceries for Thanksgiving this weekend, too. We're hosting our moms (my FIL is deceased, dad is still working out of state) and having big, fat steaks instead of turkey. Mmmm.
DH wasn't feeling well in the morning, so he stayed home. We had such an awesome family day after he started feeling better. We spent way too much time at Costco, but got a ton of stuff done.
My mom has her tickets purchased for the first week of January. So weird to plan for the baby in this fashion instead of all the baby stuff. It is definitely more urgent.
Now, it's just hitting six a.m. and I'm about to go in search of my coffee erinshelley21, you're killing me with this talk of going for donuts! I am soo hungry!

The dog has some seasonal allergies, and apparently I missed the peak so he's chewed up his foot pretty good. Usually a good deshedding bath with his special shampoo and some Benadryl keeps him from hurting himself, but I guess last week was the time for the bath not this week. He was limping last night so now he has to wear a bootie and put up with the steroid spray. He is so offended right now.
I'm just over here looking at my intense belly hair. Some of them are like spirals, and some are like straight lines. Some stick straight outward, and some are flat against my skin. Some are like a full inch in length, and some are barely the size of an ant. And yet they are all hairs, united together in their cause of making my belly look wild.
Just ate a breakfast bagel with DH and DS before DH goes to work all day. Not sure what DS and I will do today. I've been trying to get as much outside time as possible because it's finally nice outside.

Back from our donut run and we also went to Walmart to scope out toys for Christmas. Just hanging around watching paw patrol and eating lunch before we go visit with my mom and brother.
I'm failing to see the problem here. I legit laughed at my H when he tried to contribute to our meal planning, we're eating what the pregnant lady wants to eat and you can deal with it
I'm struggling to come up with dinner ideas nowadays because the only things I feel like eating are bagels and pie. So his suggestions are appreciated most of the time... But this feels like a perfect day for chili. Oh well, he's off work today so maybe he can cook dinner.
If chili is something you feel like eating then I'd make chili. You can eat it tomorrow or have lunches ready for the week!
Eta: or you can freeze it for when the baby is here! I just made a double batch of soup last night and put half in the freezer.
You know what is exciting? When you re-discover a baby name that you love and you casually suggest it to your spouse, and they say, "oh yeah I like that!"
HELL YEAH!!!
Baby names discussion is officially closed for boys AND girls, and if H reopens it, I will plug my ears and ignore. Lol.
We didn't decide on names with #1 until I was actually in labor at the hospital (and we weren't team green then either!), so this is a giant step. Basically it's the only thing we now have prepared for this baby. Lol...
I'm baby sitting my nephew today. He's 18 months, and it's been a jam packed day, but whoa my back is sore now! Im not used to carrying him. I think I'm going to make my husband do it for the rest of the evening bc I'm afraid I'm overdoing it. No clue how you mom of toddlers do this everyday!
Hi ladies! I'm on a shopping trip and had so much fun shopping at IKEA for nursery stuff. I'm getting so many clothes handed down to me I'm trying not to spend money on clothes but it's so tempting!
cosmicav we are feeling pretty confident with the name we are on right now...it might be the one!
DH has been gone on a work trip since Wed and gets back tonight. The timing was tough because we'd had so much family in town and they mostly left Sunday with the exception of my mom who left early Thursday morning. DD has been super clingy since (I think she's scared I'm going to ditch her too) and started asking more and more about her dad today. She's usually great about going to bed but tonight she totally lost it anytime I tried to leave her room until I assured her that I would be around if she needed me 😢. Poor girl. Having DH back tonight will be a relief for both of us!

Well, we didn't walk away with an Odyssey yesterday. H is being stubborn on what he wants to pay. He seems to think he'll get a couple calls back this week or sometime in December when the Honda dealerships are trying to get rid of 2016 inventory. 🙄 we shall see.
We also talked a ton about boy names yesterday and while we can agree on some that we both like, we're at odds on which name to pick. We each like different ones and the one the other likes isn't our fav. Back to the drawing board.
