Crap night to follow the crap day. A slept all day so she woke up at 1 am. And stayed up til almost 4 in my bed watching TV. C slept for crap and H feels sick. Then C got up at 5.
@janetheconquerer boo for the crap night. Sounds like you have a good attitude about the biopsy, so that's good. And that's exciting about your flooring! We went and purchased new laminate to replace the carpet in the basement (after the flood a few months back, we have been living with half the basement carpet and the other half concrete! Lol). I'm excited to get that going and will do some redecorating in the process. I have decided I will try a different colour scheme, even though I like the one we have, it will be fun to try something different! DH started ripping up the rest of the carpet last night!

Sorry for the rough night, @janetheconquerer!
Just finished art and swim lessons with Poppy at the Y. Going to go to an event at a local bookstore this evening. H's bestfriend and his new lady friend may or may not be coming over for dinner tonight. Oh to be able to live a life without firm plans...
We have plans to meet up with a friend at the park today, so of course A refused her morning nap. Currently wearing her so she gets at least a few minutes in...she doesn't nap longer than 30 minutes when I wear her these days but figured it was better than nothing.
@janetheconquerer, fx for the all clear with your biopsy. I discovered a lump on my thyroid right after A was born - had a FNA biopsy that came back negative and have had a couple of ultrasounds since to keep an eye on it. They call it a colloid nodule which I guess is fairly common, mine just happens to be rather large. Surgery would be cosmetic at this point since it's not affecting my vocal chords so we're just keeping an eye on it. All that to say, I understand the stress of not knowing and going thru all the tests and will be sending good thoughts for similar good news for you.
I've been such a lump today. I'm so freaking tired. We've kept M fed and entertained so I'm calling it a win. Eventually I'll probably shower. We did try to jump my car. Battery is totally dead so we'll have to get a new one tomorrow 😕
M has said several new words today. He stated saying Elmo and I love after we say I love you. Elmo is really clear, I love sounds more like I ove. I'm glad H was there because I'm sure he wouldn't have believed me.
I think H has the flu. And que my stomach hurting. Today wore me out, trying to keep kids out of house. C didn't get a nap, he's in bed an hour early. And I have no patience when I am going on no sleep. I've been a bitch, hoping tomorrow is easier.
Y'all, A woke up puking at midnight. The flu is officially running thru my house. I just can't catch a break this weekend. Today I get to deal with a sick kid and toddler filled with energy, secluded to 1 room whole tile is going down. I don't even know how to start with keeping both entertained like this. Especially since C just wants to play outside.
@janetheconquerer so so many sorrys. Your weekend/past few days have definitely sucked. You are due for some positives I think! I hope you had delicious coffee! Yay for new flooring?? I hope A feels better soon. Poor girl

DH work Christmas party last night was actually a lot of fun. I'm pretty shy, so I don't mingle too well, but everyone is really nice. DH had a good time. We would have stayed later, but the in laws were at our place babysitting M, so we came home earlish.

ampaints that's so exciting about new words! Our M loves elmo too! He doesn't say the name though, just gives him huge hugs all the time! The other he had his two talking Elmo's out and he seemed a bit confused on both of them talking and moving!

Having lunch with my dad, brother, and SIL today. I haven't seen or really spoken to my brother and SIL since M's birthday party. We just have very little on common. When I would invite them to things they just kept turning me down, so I've stopped. My brother normally will either sit quietly and say nothing or complains. But I'm looking forward to seeing my dad. He's been helping with M so much, it will be nice to just get to hang out with him. Plus I love watching him with M, it's just the best to see him act so silly!
Last night I had a dream kaeguri was calling me when I was on the other line and I was really upset that I couldn't switch the call over in time. Apparently in my dreams calling someone back wasn't an option 😂
@janetheconquerer I'm sorry you've had such a lousy few days. This weekend definitely needs a do-over. I wouldn't hesitate to give A lots of screen time today and take C outside while she's napping or watching a show. Lysol everything today! I hope you don't get sick too.
Flights went okay yesterday. The first one was great but the second one was rough because Abigail hadn't napped at all and it was mid-afternoon at that point. She cried for a while and the lady next to me was covering her ears. Ugh. I finally got her to doze in the ergo for about 20 minutes but that was the only nap she had all day. She's a great crib sleeper but pretty much won't nap anywhere else at this point no matter how tired she is. Anyway, not our best travel day but it was also far from our worst. Twins were great. They're seasoned travelers at this point.
