I'm grouchy today. It's cold out, our house is still a disaster, and I'm pregnant. Boo. Working a full day today, and leaving a little early tomorrow to close on the old house and go to the doctor. I just need to survive the next 2 days. Then Wednesday I can send Bub to daycare and get some work done, and Thursday my ILs are coming, so they will help.
I wish I would have taken advantage of my time in the house during the inspection and final walk-through to make a list of things I needed to buy. Now I'm making a frantic trip to target after work for bath mats and command hooks and a paper towel holder and other shit I could have bought a week ago.

It wouldn't have mattered any way. Moving is always a total CF. Did you guys get all your stuff on over the weekend?

All my sympathies JoBub! Moving sucks. I'm not looking forward to it.
DDs strep results came back negative (super surprised). They called me at 945pm sat night to tell me that. What Dr calls that late? Anyway, so its just a mystery virus like always. She was doing better sat, then yesterday was terrible. She was fussy and tired all day. And not eating. Not even drinking much. So it seems like she's in the thick of it. I can see little white blistery looking spots on her tongue and roof of her mouth. She was up twice last night. My poor baby.

The weekends are not long enough. I have a two day work week, hopefully it goes quickly.
-We should find out pathology results for my dad today. FX that it's stage 3 and not 4. On that front though, my dad was able to stand on his own while holding onto something yesterday, and he was able to use a spoon with his right hand to eat ice cream. Baby steps...

You guys just can't catch a break. Hope she feels better soon!

We actually have some stuff still in the storage unit because it wouldn't all fit in the moving truck. But we just have to move that by 12/1 to avoid having to pay for another month.

I'm a month or so moved in and I'm still buying all kinds of shit, if that is all you need, then you are way ahead of the game!
Thank god for a short work week....I'm so tired. And this baby is kicking the shit out of me. I don't remember N moving/kicking this much. I also have an anterior placenta so it's actually kind of muffled more than normal I think, so yeah. I'm hoping to leave work around lunch time to deliver product to a local client, at least I can get out for a bit.

It's getting to be that time of year again... Anyone started thinking about daycare/teacher holiday gifts? I also try to get my cleaning lady something small (in addition to holiday tip) and need to get something for my administrative assistant. And we do a white elephant exchange with some of the women at work. I'm going to try to get some stuff during online Black Friday sales, but didn't know if anyone had good ideas I could steal.

Gah I hadn't even thought about this!!! Adding to my ever growing list of things to do....

I've started thinking about this, read freaking out. It's all new to me so I'm all ears for suggestions.
I know he has 1 main teacher plus 1-2 afternoon floaters. He's also with the 2yo teacher in the mornings for about an hour, should I get her something to since she is the teacher for drop off? Would it be easier to just put together something for the entire school and teachers can take what they want?

That's definitely not all we need. I also need rugs for most rooms and we have an entire living room that has zero furniture. But that can wait, and we always planned on waiting until we moved in to buy that stuff (and Black Friday). But the bathroom floor was so effing cold this morning. Bathmats are my #1 priority right now. LOL And maybe a new pair of slippers.
Has anyone flown allegient with kids lately? do they allow you to check a car seat/ stroller/ pnp for free or no? Delta does allow. Wasn't sure if allegient was the same

I usually make a gift for his main teachers with their name on it (something like a little B&BW thing plus a gift card to Starbucks or Graeters) And then I buy several bags of candy (Like those bags of Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares) with a little note that says "Merry Christmas from [kid]" and ask the morning teacher to give one to everyone who helps out in that room. Because I can't keep track of who is in there.

Yes. All kid stuff is free. At the counter or gate.
ETA it's weird because pretty much nothing is free on Allegiant.

I would do something just for the main teachers or his main teacher and the morning teacher. Floaters no unless you really want to.

Thank you! What about even small stuff like a foldable bath tub or cosleeper? Can you put those things in a bag and check or would it then be a bag?

If it's in a suitcase, I think they would probably charge you. But if you put it in one of those gate check bags like you get for a stroller or carseat, and check it separately and tell them it's a kid thing, it's probably free. But I'd call to be sure. I couldn't find it anywhere on the website that the PnP would be free, but it was. There might be a limit on the number of items or something. We've checked PnP stroller and car seat for free in the same trip. But I usually just try to fit everything else in the suitcase.
You also get a diaper bag (both you and H) in addition to your free personal item.
