I like this graphic from LLL so I thought I'd share. If anyone needs to vent or needs some cheerleading as we enter the holiday season of parties and family obligations, here's your thread!
I don't use a cover or go out of my way to not NIP, but during the holidays I really enjoy taking baby to a quiet room to nurse. He's 4 months old and really into what's going on around him, so it's nice to lay down on a comfy bed while he eats and I can relax too!
My in-laws planned today around my brother and sister in law because they are doing Thanksgiving this evening with her mom. Their kids are in 6th and 8th grade. I am so not caring about being late to Thanksgiving. Both girls and I will get done what needs done first. They should have scheduled around us since we have a one month old.

Another Copy and paste from O'16
I'm watching White Christmas while rocking HL in the RNP and getting ready to pump. AG will have quiet time and then I will finally be able to get a shower.

I've always loved being able to use nursing as a reason to get away from the chaos and just be alone w my baby. Our family events are usually Btwn 25-30 ppl. Oi

@clgsquared, love tit for nursing success! Also "stop when she can ask for it" makes me insane. What healthy baby doesn't ask, in one way or another, from the beginning? Why is it okay for a 7 month old to sign for milk but not okay for a 13 month old to? Why is it okay for a 10 month old to say "ma ma ma" or "ba ba ba" but not okay for a 2 year old to say "milkies, please?" Staaaaahp it makes me RAGE. My big social media post for world breastfeeding week was about this.

Ugh my mom. Everyone else is so fine and like nbd, my dad, my mil, even H's super old school grandparents. My mom asked me approx 100 times when I was going to stop nursing. Then followed me into a room while I was nursing LO (9 months) and proceeded to make silly faces and noises at her, then when LO popped off to look her, told me. Isinglass think she likes nursing any more. WTAF. Besides nursing my mom is great and generally helpful and supportive. But idk why she is so hung up.

So thankful to still have breastfeeding as a parenting tool during busy family time. We are on Christmas celebration 4 of 4 for today, and I know my toddler would be an overstimulated wreck without nursing as a motivation to sit and relax periodically. Also I love the excuse to sneak away to a calmer room! He must too because at his great grandmother's house he told me "need a break, momma, mik mik please?"

The first comment my mom made I told her, every time you say "LO doesn't look tired" or something about me nursing i am making a mental note and next time you ask me a question about how to fix/do something on your phone or computer i am just not going to answer you.
