We had a good thanksgiving. In and out without family drama. Just had leftovers for dinner.
But my sister just annoyed me though. We do secret santa for adults. Last year she said she didn't think we should do it anymore...as in let's not bother getting each other gifts at all. And I thought my other sister agreed. I was surprised when they both agreed to secret santa. And now we're discussing wish lists. Basically her list for her and her husband are gift cards. Even her kids list have $$$ on it. What's the point. Bah humbug.

We had a great thanksgiving. We only had to go to my moms. MIL threw a tantrum last week because she didn't want people coming and going at different times. So she cancelled what would be our usual second thanksgiving. Only having to go one place was perfectly ok with me. It was very relaxing!
Today I went Black Friday shopping, cleaned, put up all the Christmas decorations, found my yard under all the leaves and even did a prenatal workout. Feeling pretty accomplished!
Need to get a move on with my to do's. Sitting here sipping my coffee trying to decide if I should shower to go out or get to the chores. I have baby laundry and decorating to get done.

It's raining so I'm tackling some of our pre-baby to do list today. I've caught the pups napping in the nursery several times this morning. They're going to be a good big brother and sister.
We had a quiet Thanksgiving, with just FIL over. I made a ton of food and it all came out really well. Then I needed to nap for hours to recover, ha.
Yesterday we took him to a couple of the wineries and dinner. It was okay except that he kept referencing visiting in May. So I finally said something about H and I needing to figure out a schedule for people visiting (everyone lives far away, so visiting means multiple days in our area, possibly staying with us). He replied that I had no say in it and he'd just show up (with a smile, but not really kidding). I think lasers shot out of my eyes.

I'm here. We're on day 2 of potty training DD. She's doing worse today. I thought she had the hang of it for the most part by the end of the day yesterday. But not so much today. She just may not be ready yet. 😩 if that's the case, I'll try again after the holiday. I really don't want to have 2 in diapers.

We had a great Thanksgiving. DH's niece hosted and there was a literal table full of food, they made so much. We have literally three pounds of leftovers in the fridge: turkey, ham, ribs, stuffing, mac & cheese. DS had fun playing with Legos for the first time and then found a soccer ball and just kicked it around the rest of the night.
No black Friday shopping and it was grey and cold so we didn't do Green Friday either. Just pj day for us. I already hit Target this morning and got our artificial tree for $30! Along with a wreath and some other odds and ends.

mustloveerica your dogs are cute my dog is so anxious around DS, she'd rather be outside when he's awake She's never loved kids but I was hoping if she was around DS from birth she'd be okay.
icedtea I hope your husband backs you up on the scheduling idea. Hell no to unplanned guests.
ladytiffany24 I'm so on the fence about starting potty training before baby. How old is DD and when are you due? (Can't see tickers on tapa if you have them) DS is 27 months and I'm due end of January
akraus2015 I'm so sorry that you're so sick Just try to remember that it's temporary (I hope). You have to take care of yourself, the to-do can wait

silvermelody DD will be 29 months on Dec 4th and I'm due March 30th so I've got some time. I just really thought she was more ready than this based on some of the "signs" to look for. If we don't get there by the time baby #2 gets here, I'll deal with 2 in diapers but it's my ultimate goal to avoid that.
I'll finish out today and stick it out tomorrow too since I committed to the 3 day potty training boot camp, so we'll see where she's at after Sunday. She goes back to the sitter on Monday so I'll also have to talk to the sitter about how we'll handle it going forward if we don't go all the way back to diapers.
I haven't done anything in 2 days. I feel absolutely awful and want to throw up every second that I'm awake. 😔
Lt is a hug. I'm pretty uncomfortable these days but so far still consider 1st tri the hardest. I wouldn't trade my aches and pains for the exhaustion and constant nausea. Hope it passes quickly for you!

mustloveerica you are just way too productive this weekend. Love the colors of the blanket! Would you make 2 of the same or will each baby have their own color?

I'm a busy body. I don't like to sit still much. But I've binged an entire season of Gilmore Girls so far this weekend lol. This is what I do while I watch TV. They will be two different colors. I bought the exact same kind of yarn but in purple white and gray for the second one.
mustloveerica, so pretty! I learned to knit a couple years ago and then totally ignored it. I keep telling myself I should learn again. I love those colors.
Having a super lazy day and binging on Gilmore Girls. So far not totally impressed but only on episode 2. I should get dressed or at least shower at some point but just relaxing is more appealing.

I started knitting a cardigan for baby girl but I have so many other things to do before she arrives and half the time I wind up taking a nap on the weekend instead of doing anything productive. I need to start working on it when we watch TV in the evenings.
Oh! And I was going to work on it during my NSTs, which are super boring. First one is Monday, we'll see.

Finished my prenatal workout. I'm hoping this helps me stop gaining weight solely on my love handles. Not cool, body. The least you could do is deposit that fat on my boobs and not my hips.

Today has been pretty productive thanks to my nesting mode kicking in at 7:30 this morning. We started the day by taking breakfast to the ILs before going and buying more scrubs for H. Afterward, we came home and gave the foster pup a bath and relaxed a little before we had to head across town where we meet up with the rescue's president and our foster's new family. Said our goodbyes and grabbed a wick lunch at Popeyes.
Afterward, we met my dad at Lowe's and picked up tree lights, a wreath, and items necessary for using a real tree before picking one out and heading home to put it up. H's friend came over because they were supposed to go shooting to make sure all the hunting rifles were sighted in but that fell through so I made them put up a bunch of tinsel garland around my kitchen. I'm not sure I like it but maybe I just need to get used to it. After they finished, I tore through DS's closet and packed away all his too small clothes, brought in the NB-6m clothes bin, separated out the NB to wash, went through the baby shower gifts and sorted them, moved the diaper and wipe stash into DS's closet, and finished writing thank you notes.
Now, just relaxing until we head out to a coffee shop across town for a CD release party for a couple of H's cousins.

I second this. First tri is the worst of the three. Second tri was my favorite, you'll get there soon!!!
Second Tri is a dream minus the pelvis pain. Is this normal? My pelvic bone hurts
